You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

HungaryFurniture was a bit worn, bathroom door didn't closed easily. The breakfast service is a bit messy, but this doesn't effect the quality of it. There is an amenity tray with water kattle and staff in the room, but there's no electric socket to use it. It makes this amenity a bit useless.
The staff was really kind, the dinner and breakfasts were good. Silent part - at least in Eastern time - of the city, you can really have leisure time here. Beds were quite good.

SloveniaThe breakfast offered here is quite basic, and considering the price, I expected a bit more variety and quality. Additionally, the dining area is rather cramped, which can be a bit inconvenient.
My one-night stay was quite comfortable. Despite arriving late at around 10 pm, the check-in process went smoothly. The convenience of parking was a definite plus (extra charge). Moreover, the staff was kind.

AustriaThe service at the restaurant and the breakfast was a bit slow.
We stayed two nights at the hotel and were very pleased with the facilities, especially as one of us needed a wheelchair. The rooms have been modernised and are clean and easy accessible as there is an elevator in the hotel. The hotel is in the old city centre and has private parking space nearby, which is also accessible for SUV's. The breakfast was pleasant and we also enjoyed a splendid dinner in the restaurant of the hotel.

United KingdomAircon was placed terribly in comparison to where the beds were, it barely worked, Made for not the most pleasant sleep. Shower facing out of the bath tub is a recipe for disaster! Floor got soaked even with glass partition.
Location and hotel were spot on. Lovely rustic property, well kept and clean. Just what we needed after a long drive!

SlovakiaWe were not informed of the charge for parking in advance - each car 10 eur a night; though we used it up by using it also the whole last day of our stay. While the restaurant was most lovely and the tables were set perfectly: the choice of music (poor disco) did not match (fortunately, it was not too loud).
There was a lift - so no need to take the stair for those who cannot anymore. The rooms were very nice and spacy. The in-house restaurant was great - both food and wine, and very lovely. Just around the corner from the city center and with the Jewish quarter in the opposite direction: with some pearls of the medieval and later architecture.

AustriaRestaurant closed at 17:00 on Sunday, the day we arrived. The reason why we picked this accomodation was the restaurant. When booking it not apparent that there will be no option to have dinner there. We were also charged extra 10 euros for overnight parking which was also an unpleasant “surprise” and also unusual. We were not told in advance that parikng is not free. It may have been disclosed in fine print but nevertheless felt like a rip-off…

RomaniaWe stayed at the mansard in the winter and could not control the temperature, so it got very warm in the evening. By the next morning the room got cooler, so it was ok. Also WiFi was not working in our room, although the signal had full strength.
We booked a very nice, modern and spacious room. The staff was kind and helpful. Delicious food at the restaurant. Private parking is also available close by (you'll have to pay extra to use it).

AustriaI loved the location, the service the room and amenities. The deluxe room is great, the standard room is only ok.
I booked a deluxe double in a renovated room and it was super; spacious modern with a large bath it includes Netflix and Amazon Prime access and has a cool and effective AC. I stayed in that room for three nights. I had to add a fourth night in one of the standard rooms. I was ok but a stepdown from the first. Breakfast was good as they provided a menu of egg dishes prepared on demand. I am not sure why but that on demand service was not always available. The standard buffet items are ok, the usual. The bread is very good as the hotel operates a retail bakery. The onsite restaurant is the best in Sopron, so if you don't stay at the hotel be sure to at least eat there.

HungaryMy room in the "premium" wing was tiny. The bathroom was ridiculously small, the sink looked like something you would have in a guest bathroom. There is no proper reception and waiters double as receptionists. There was no proper storage facility for luggage.
