How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was perfect! It is very close to the Shopping Mall and local market. Nice stroll to the city centre or you can use public transport. In general, top stay! Highly recommended!

The apartment was spacious, sparkling clean, well designed and decorated. All the equipment you need in the kitchen: cutlery, glasses, stove, microwave oven, big refrigerator, expressor, etc, everything that you need even for long stay. In the bedroom extremely comfortable bed and fine and beautifully smelling sheets. Also, autonomous heating system/hot water and air conditioning (very useful in summer). Free parking in front of apartament, the security in the block and apartament was very good and safety. The host is great, she waited for us to hand over keys and to give instruction. We would definetely stay here next visit. Thank you very much for hosting, we only regret that we could not stay longer, we hope to do it next time

We liked nearly everything. The living room was attractive and comfortable. We liked having a balcony even though because it was winter and cold we only used it to look at Szeged.

Everything was perfect. Our second time in the same apartment. Spacious, well equipped apartment, modern, great balcony, perfect location. Excellent wi-fi, free parking in front of the aprtment. All recommendations.

This is a very nice apartment at great location in Szeged. It is relatively close to open market, and Arkad shopping center. The city center is not far away. There are two tram lines very close to the apartment that go to city center. The host is great. She waited for us to hand over keys and to give instructions. The apartment is new, clean, well organized, with everything that you need even for longer stay.

Great location and a beautiful place, close to the centre but on a quiet street so it’s not too busy. It has everything you’d need during tour trip. Really comfortable and clean apartment. The place has a lovely balcony where you can have a seat and enjoy a coffee in the morning. The hosts were really responsive during the booking process. I’ll definitely book again when I’m in the city.

Nearby church woke me up early, but I'm a very light sleeper and I had the window open, so don't let this scare you.
This apartment is a really great find! It's incredibly clean and tidy, has a great Smart TV, lots of electrical outlets all around, a spacious bathroom, and it's conveniently located near public transportation. The various decorations are such a nice touch. The host was also very friendly and welcoming and offered to help if I needed anything. Highly recommended!

Owner likes using exclamation marks and since we were a few minutes late on our check-out we received a message that sounded a bit like a threat. We accept that it was our mistake, but I don´t like to feel threatened. Since we spent only a night there was no time to make a more detailed mark. Also, I felt sorry because the landlord waited for us at 23h, would be better if there is a key compartment or instructions how to enter the place.
We arrived a bit after the written check-in time, but the landlord waited for us outside and explained how to enter the building, find the apartment and took us to the short tour around the apartment. I liked because it was very clean, everything was labeled, parking was free and the bed was comfortable. We stayed only for one night and we had a really good night sleep. Also, Nespresso machine is a really nice touch.

Nice small Apartment, beautyfull balcony, all in good shape,comfortable beds. The area ist quite but close to the City Center. Good communication with the owners, even that we didnt know exactly, when we would arrive.
