Location is quite alright. About 1km from the center and train station. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate in english.

The propriety is about 2 km. far from the center of Gyor, so we had to walk around 15 - 20 minutes to rich it. The bathroom was commun with another 2 rooms, but we knew this from the start.

The family room with 4 beds was big enoug for us, a family with 2 children. The owner was nice. The propriety has a commun kitchen with a fridge that we could use.

The place and host are great and a great deal for the money. The only hard part was finding it.

Not keen on the concertina-style toilet doors.

Stop off during Danube cycle. Comfy beds, good showers and kitchen (though we didn't use), good wifi and felt secure and safe with Johnny watching over us (labrador guard dog!)

The bathroom stalls need new doors and the rooms might benefit from nightstands and at least one bed lamp per room, as I didn't have any place for my glasses and walking towards a bed without glasses and in the dark is quite dangerous.

We stayed here before, 4 years ago. It's a very affordable place to stay and we enjoy the kitchen facilities, as well as the dog. The owner/host is very nice and wanted to give us pointers for visiting around, but we only stayed for one night each way while traveling, so we couldn't take advantage of this. We stayed in two of the three available rooms (one on the way to our destination and the other on the way back) and we were satisfied with both. The shower was upgraded since the last time we stayed and there's also a washing machine if you need it, which I think is great for longer stays.

The room was perfect for a family (4person). Enough place, enough cupboard. Location is good for being with a car. You can park in front of the hostel at the main road and it is free of charge during the week also.

No AC, and when it's hot, not good No kind of ceiling or mobile fan, which would help cool and disturb mosquitoes Mosquitoes were a problem, especially since windows needed to be open Two toilets and one shower for everyone, and if place is full, waiting is an issue

There was a refrigerator I was allowed to check in early but the room that would have allowed me to keep an eye on my bike I couldn't use - even though no one stayed there (it was a similar size)

My room was in a half basement, and there are ceramic tiles on the floor instead of wood or a laminate. I personally don't prefer this kind of house ambient, also there is no garden you can use if you want to drink coffee outside or let the children out, but that all wasn't a big issue for me especially for a short stay. Some other, more important things were very good.

Very welcoming host, willing to help and to explain everything. The neighborhood is quiet, I had a parking place in front of my window. The room, kitchen, and bathroom were clean, the hostel is quiet, there is no crowd. The city center is about 15 minutes of a slow walk, and Gyor is maybe the most pretty Hungarian city I was. This hostel is a good price-quality choice for single travelers, couples, and you can come even with children here.
