The property states air conditioning.. it DOES NOT have air conditioning. It has sort of air circulation but not air conditioning. It was hot at night. had to open doors sounds and noises don’t allow for a good night rest. Also, there is a fitness center, a small one at best. The hotel never advised that there was a charge to use it. so when we did, this man comes in and tell us that we need to reserve and pay. What? There was. o one there and it’s a hotel!! The manager Gabriela was rude and had a smirk on her face when telling us that those were “house rules”. are you kidding me??? Rude! No customer service skills whatsoever

Location was good. About 10 min walk to town. The hotel includes breakfast and dinner which is nice. chef is very good. Nice selection for a couple of nights.

The staff at the hotel is very caring and helpful. Everyone is working to make your stay as comfortable as they can (and I do mean everyone, from the receptionists, waitresses, the sommelier, the cooks in the kitchen). And they do it in a heartfelt, sincere, kind way. The wellness had everything we needed (sauna, jacuzzi, hot and cold water pools, solar beach room, hay therapy and salt room). Location is top-notch as the Eger spa is within walking distance and one can simply walk from the hotel directly to the spa. We really enjoyed breakfast (fresh bakery products and a good selection of options) and dinner (modern, well thought-out meals, very tasty I'd even say gourmet :) ). At last but not least, I'd give a shout to the wonderful musician who plays during dinner time, we liked it very much :).

Receptionist not very professional (the way she handled questions regarding the new local law requiring provision of all personal information to the hotel, basically telling us we can go if we dont want to provide all that information to the hotel) Sauna is basically working 2 hours a day (technically opened from 3-6 PM, but they only switch it on at 3PM, so its only hot at 4PM) which is ridiculous. Very expensive compared to what is offered.

Great food, very nice room, fairly large spa. Extremally friendly restaurant staff. Location not too nice but quiet. Nice pools.

Loved the spacious room, bathroom and wellness area, friendly staff and basically everything else. Hotel is in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to the castle, city center and several good restaurants.

the room temperature was very high and we could not change it with the thermo control, we kept the window open in February to be able to sleep. Pillows were too soft. other than these the hotel is a great place to stay and relax.

Hotel has a good central location, wide variety at breakfast. Nice wellness area, spacious room. Good staff, private onsite parking included.

- salty pool was not salty and middle thermal pool wasn’t working, so at the end we could only use the normal pools that are simply swimming pools without healing properties - need to pay for using the fitness 1000 ft per person per day considering the 140 eur price per room, it is weird to charge for it - no hair conditioner - no a la crate dinner option - room smelled a bit like cigarette

Imola Platan is our go to Hotel when staying in Eger. Unfortunately we had two moments where our positive impression was put to the test. While checking in and paying outstanding invoices the staff was obviously showing no motivation. By face impression it was obvious that our contact was not welcome. I was talking in English but lack of language skills was showing the mentioned behavior. In service you may think what you want but presenting this in front of the guests is a no go. At breakfast the lady was really nice. Anyways we’ll come back and maybe the situation will improve.

Access to the thermal bath is great. Our rooms on the first floor had a big terrace which we were able to use during nice October weather. Double rooms are spacious and equipped well for a comfortable stay.

The hotel guide book in the bedroom said that we could have access to the pools in the Termi. Then we discovered that there was an unmentioned additional charge. As older people we would’ve appreciated help taking the suitcases to the room, Reception just told us to use the lift when I asked for help. Unfortunately, we suspect that the dinner was just heated up not freshly prepared. Why else would one of the menu items not be available two days in a row, the meat was very dry.

On one day the breakfast was excellent. On the other day there was no fresh fruit platter, just apples and oranges. There was less fish.

We stayed from Thursday to Saturday and we were not satisfied with the placement of our room, on first floor with open corridor to the main hall. On Friday morning around 6:00 they started to clean the main hall with a machine which was very loud. We had to ask the staff twice to stop it because they ignored our first request. On Friday night there were a lot of drunk guests in the hall who made huge noise. We called the reception to do something, but the most of the staff are very young so drunk people just don't respect them. So I would recommend to avoid rooms on the first floor and ask other ones on a higher floor.

The wellness is well designed and has a plenty of space with good facilities, like 2 indoor pool, jacuzzi, 3 kind of sauna. The breakfast has too many choices to try everything, which is good for multiple days of stay.
