I thought the bathroom was really durty and in a bad shape. It could use a retouch in every single thing. As for the room, it wasn't sound proved so we could hear everything that came from the street. Also, the room wasn't cozy and welcoming, so it was more a place to have warm and a bad to sleep then a place to really enjoy a nice stay. The whole place needs a reform to be more pleasent the stay.

The room was really close to all Budapest features and was close to public stations. I really enjoyed walking around the neighbourhood and being able to go back quit to the hostel. Also, the heating of the room was really satisfying. We stayed during the winter and it was nice to go back to a warm house.

The room itself does NOT look like in the pictures. It wasn’t problem for us, but just saying expext a bit less. The heating was locked and going crazy, so we had to have our windows opened all the time. We contacted the owner and they stopped reaponding. Having the windows opened all the time is not the best if you’re not a tight sleeper. People are loud in the streets, especially on the weekends. The building was honestly scary at first, but it was safe. The bathroom was a problem though. Not even talking about the size of it, which was really tiny, but the quality of everything inside that bathroom was horrible. Showerhead had water leaking everywhere, the drain was not draining(there were floods in Budapest at that time so maybe that was the cause). Also the wall between bathroom and the room are paper thin, so you can hear pretty much everything. We didn’t use the kitchen, but seemed okay. The communication with the owner was not good at all.

Overall the room was clean and not that bad. The bed was comfortable and location was nice.

bathroom situation was horrible you couldn’t take a shower because water wasn’t draining at all and the whole bathroom floor was filled with water and it was even leaking outside when you opened the door and no one even warned us that that would happen. we didn’t use the kitchen so idk about that but it looked clean.

location is perfect for tourists and young people who want to go out and have fun because you have lots of bars and restaurants around and really close to the center we barely had to use public transport at all because we could walk everywhere

Retro rooms has two rooms rented out separately, one common bathroom and a kitchen. Tiny bathroom, No cleanliness, the room furniture are old and dirty. Our room had a balcony which was not accessible. The Kitchen utensils were very dirty, the bathroom toiletries were cheap quality, diluted soap liquid! In the entire premise there is only one dustbin that also in the Kitchen. There were dirty clothes in our room wardrobe. Also the front door key doesn't work. The host was not friendly, we were not able to find the property so we called him/her, but our call was cut and same booking.com confirmation message was sent, so we had to find it and check in ourselves which is challenging. We had also asked to leave our luggage for half day which they agreed but later rejected.

Location is good only if you like partying or shopping (if you are a tourist planning to visit main tourist attractions then this location is far). Affordable stay.

Before we checked out, new people came and they are literally junkies. They did crack inside the kitchen it was so scary and makes us uncomfortable but this is not the worst part. Last day when we come back to our room our door was broken and someone took our money. When we informed the situation nobody cares and even say anything except you can go the police and add smiley to the text. If i were you, i never book this place it is not safe environment at all.

Avoid this place!! An absolute disgrace... We stayed here 5 years ago and all was fine then, but it's gone totally downhill since. The kitchen lacks a lot, but mainly spoons, forks, and a kettle - plenty of knives, though. Ad says there's TV (cable) - there was a TV...inoperative, hidden away in the corridor. Ad also said there should be a hairdryer - hidden so well we couldn't find it. And a lift was also mentioned in the ad - they didn't mention it's out of order (presumably permanently) The shower still leaks 5 years on. The "bathroom" sink blocks up. There's mould all over the shower cabin, and there's even a rusty nail sticking out of it. The shower curtain wasn't in any better shape either. The mop hasn't reached the space under the beds in a very long time. We were sceptical to turn on the heater - the leg is snapped off and there are burn marks in the middle of the room. Be warned - the photos do not match how it looks now. Oh, and don't leave anything in the kitchen fridge - it'll disappear within 24 hours. Though cutomer service was nice at first, their massive attitude problem appeared soon after... A huge disappointment!

The instructions to get in to the property took us some time to figure out. It also isn’t called Retro Rooms on the maps, that takes you to a Synagogue. It is called Historical Apartments. We also had difficulty opening the metal cage on the door most days.

The location was great, everything is close by. The room looked different to the pictures, it was very modern which I thought was way better. Wifi was good. Plenty of toiletries were provided.

It was the worst experience I ever had. I wasn't able to stay here because the room was fulfilled with the smell of cats pee and I have allergy on it. When I understand that I feel bad I leave this place immediately and write about it to the property and send a request about booking cancellation. They slow down all process of cancellation for 3 days. When I asked about money refunding they say to write to customer service. After they say to customer service that there will be no refunding. I highly recommend don't choose this property for your travel

The cleanliness of the place. External lighting. There were days when I arrived at night and the elevator did not work and the light did not work. On the balcony, birds pooped on the table from above on the balcony and sometimes when I sat there on my head too, so it is desirable to have a small roof to protect from birds and a also the sun.

Consider street voices and take earplugs with you. Also, other people were kinda disrespectful because they couldn't use the bathroom nice.

this is an old building. there were no tissues in bathroom and no hand wash. no lighter to lit the gas either. the doors were difficult to open. the self check in was terrible. the instructions given were unclear either, and there was no possible support if u need help.

It was the worse experience in my life. There were chewed gums in the bed. The sofa was burned. There were nails coming out of the bed and you could cut yourself. The bed was like 1.4 meters long.
