Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaFor pedestrians like me the location poised a bit of a challenge as you had to figure out the bus connections yourself; the hotel is not proactive in that regard. Basically, there is a busstop nearby and either the number 1 or number 2 will take you to the train station and the inner city. They run, however, very infrequently, each about once, maybe twice, an hour. The number 2 will take you to the swimming pool, but coming back out from town it is the number 1 that services that route. In any case, one should go to the busstop near the hotel and carefully note the times of departure for the two buses.
Breakfast was like something from "The Thousand and One Nights" (except, of course, that it was in the morning). Really excellent with a great choice. the only slight drawback was the language, all dishes were described only in Hungarian so veggies like me had to be very careful. Another big plus was the free entry into the big local swimming complex, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

HungaryThere was a strong smell of cigarette in the bathroom, so we had to keep the door closed and open the windows several times a day.
Breakfast was great, and the location is exceptional. Fresh air and birds chirping everyday! The staff was polite and friendly too. The programs the hotel organized were fun!

United Kingdomthe oldish rooms set up
The hotel is large, the staff were super helpful at arrival but the room was old, maybe last decorated in the 70's, furniture the same, I somehow expected a more modern and less used set up. The price included breakfast and dinner so that was good.

AustriaThe location was very nice and the room was great. Nonetheless, for such a hotel posing itself as a spa hotel overrated. There were only 2 tiny saunas and a tiny swimming pool which was disappointing. Breakfast was tasty, but the personal was rude and at 10 am I was literally thrown out from the cantine which happened to me for the first time in my life! Dinner was not tasty at all, salty and fat food with little choice. For this price it is not worth it.

Czech RepublicPeople occupy the chaise longue with their towels in the spa area, even though they are not there or they are in the swimming pool or in the jacuzzi. Chaises longues are for resting after the sauna, not for other stuff. Also, people stay in the jacuzzi for more than 15 minutes and this doesn't allow a rotation. The hotel personnel who was there didn't care at all about such things. We had to go outside and open some of the chaises there, otherwise we could not lay down. Just one biliard table and if it is taken you wait for hours before you can play. Limited time for the spa (until 19), gym and biliard (until 21). Very few anti covid gels/spray.
The bed were comfy, the room was spacious. The balcony with chairs to enjoy a beer and the drying rack for the swimming suits. Lot of food for dinner and breakfast (also vegetarian options). Plenty of free parking spots. Good for one or two nights, to relax in the spa and walk around in the forest.

AustriaThere was only one pillow on each bed that also of different sizes (we had a double room). The comforter was also very thin and small, which is not suitable to sleep in,in winters at all. Secondly, the website of the hotel and the booking.com mentions a lot of wellness and beauty facilities, most of them were not available. Lastly, the only vegetarian option for breakfast was only bread and cheese.
The location is really lovely. The bus stop is right infront of the hotel. The staff is very friendly. There was lactose free option available for all dairy products for breakfast, which was lovely.

HungaryThe hotel probably has its peak in the 1980s, and it looks like no money was spent on it in the last 30+ years. The decoration, the furnitures were really old and dusty, and did not feel clean. The biggest issue is the rooms have no AC, which made the summer nights unbearable. We have kept the balcony door and window open for the night, which looked at a yard. This place was used by the staff for smoking breaks, so every morning we woke up for their dialogue as the acustic of that area strengthed the sound dramatically.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is close to nature, great for hiking. The food was fine, but repetitive after a few days.
