How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Expensive garage, but we were aware of this when choosing a hotel.
Perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. A pleasant surprise was the coupons for free drinks at the hotel bar. Spacious rooms. Affordable price.

shower without glass walls, only with curtain. shower drain with poor flow
Small but welcoming hotel. in the city center where there are many restaurants, pubs, bars. very practical for visiting all the monuments. room not too big but clean

Breakfast was ok but would be better if they kept the scrambled eggs with the meat separate from the plain ones, the same utensils were being used for both so we couldn’t have a hot breakfast as couldn’t eat the plain eggs as had pieces of meat in. We asked for a double bed but it was two singles together, they did offer to change the room the next day but would have had to check out at 10.30 and check back in again at 2.30 which seemed an odd thing to do as we would have had to re-pack everything rather than just move rooms when we could.
Great location 5 mins walk from centre and where the bus from the airport stops. Staff friendly and helpful.

Room was looking at backyard and bright light entered the room early morning - noisy at night due to the next door bar- Not adequate cleaning

Next to the hotel is bar where people were parting till the late night. There are two rows of windows that are designed to mute the noise outside the window, fortunatelly.
Great localisation, very nice and helpful staff. Close to various restaurants and all tourist spots.

Everything was more fine than expected with one downside in our apartment there was a smell when accessing the bathroom on the upper floor. Smell like cooking beans which could make sense during the morning but this smell had nothing to do with the hours. It was there all day. It was not effecting the rest of the apartment but when it was time for shower we were thinking of getting cooked 😅
We wanted to see Budapest for a few days and the hotel Mika helped a lot. Really close to city center, with nice breakfast and helpful service. We would consider visiting it again.

The parking cost, mostly the same price as we payed for the accomadation (40 euro/day).
The staff was nice, the breakfast very good. Location is around 30 minutes by walk from center.

The location was brilliant, everything within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied and a good selection. Our apartment was as described, modern and clean. We did not find the bar underneath to be loud as others have said.

No parking that belongs to the hotel. The area is loud at night from clubs and bars.

Service and facilities were good however, decor of the communal areas, specifically the backyard, bar and breakfast areas was a bit gloomy and would benefit from a clean up and lick of paint.
Excellent location, near the Opera House, a metro station, buses and trams. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Check in was quick and efficient . Room was clean and comfortable. Room had an excellent safe which was easy to use. Very good buffet breakfast which was available from 7am to 11am.

The room was a little small, the bathroom was very small, and the shower curtain was annoying due to the size of the shower area.
Hotel is in an excellent location. Breakfast was good. Hotel was nice and clean.
