The restaurants in the hotel are extremely overpriced, a sip, and I mean a sip of wine is about €7.80. Though the hotel was mostly clean there was noticeable dust in the bedroom, especially in the bathroom on the radiator which you can't help but notice when using the toilet.

Good value for bed and breakfast, staff are friendly, location is walking distance to most sights and breakfast will set you up for the day with a great variety on offer. The hotel even gifted me a bottle of sparkling wine for my birthday which was extremely thoughtful of them.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms, very spacious with separate area for the closet and luggage. The hotel is one street from the Danube, so no need to use public transportation to enjoy both sides of this marvelous city.

During breakfast the short blonde lady (the name should be Borbely) while we were queuing for tea pushed my mother saying that she had to make tea for another seated guest, and when I pointed out to her that wasn’t polite ‘cause we were in queue before her and we were guests too! she carelessly finished do the 2 teas. I don't believe that there should be premium and second class guest and above all there can be no disrespect. she should be demoted, if it weren't for her attitude I would have given full marks.

I really appreciated the location and the hotel staff with the exception of the manager of the breakfast room (a short lady with a blond bob) who, unlike her colleague who was there on Saturday morning, both Sunday and Monday morning, behaved in a very polite manner. rude and arrogant. the breakfast manager while we were queuing for tea pushed my mother saying that she had to make tea for another seated guest, and when I pointed out to her that we were in the queue before her and we were guests too she finished do the 2 teas. At breakfast there was generally a line for the coffee machine, so it would be nice to see a second machine become available, however, this was only a very minor inconvenience for us.

There breakfast buffet provided a good variety of choices and the staff made sure that the buffet was readily replenished. The hotel staff in general was exceptionally helpful.

Breakfast location was great, quality of food was acceptable but continuously and best described as warm. Presentation was cafeteria style - sadly food was presented in large quantities without heat lamps resulting in the temperature issues. Smaller proportions and heat lamps would help this issue. A second coffee machine would help. Oddly, this hotel has two restaurants within the building. One is a Michelin Star.

Hotel location was perfect. Hotel and staff were outstanding. Breakfast location in the hotel was convenient but food offered and presentation was NOT great. Our best to Zoltan and the staff of the Michelin restaurant - despite the cost we ate there three times.

We satayed in 2 rooms on the ground floor, one 103 with a street view did not have a closet, really missed hanging shirts, dresses, etc. There was only a narrow wardrobe with safe and couple of shelves. The second 105 was very dark during all day, located in the corner of the building to the atrium. Next to the window was a restaurant with a speaker near by, the music (DJ) was disturbing, mainly later during the evening. Breakfast was nice, but the room was very hot with no fresh air. We enjoyed coffee in our rooms.

Location of the hotel was great! The mornings in the hotel were pleasantly silent.

It would have been nice to have a comfortable indoor lounge and bar area. Our bedroom was on the first floor overlooking the outdoor bar from where we could often hear music in our room.

I would truly like to offer constructive criticism but I can not think of a single thing that I would change. Your reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff all worked to the highest professional standards.

Your breakfast staff were highly efficient and extremely courteous. The buffet was well maintained, tables promptly cleared and reset and all requests handled efficiently and graciously.....and the food was good! It was a pleasure to come to breakfast every morning!!! One thing that was particularly important for us was to have our privacy respected. This was done perfectly. Nobody knocked on the door, nobody called the room to ask about cleaning. A note was put on our door that our "Do not disturb" request was being honoured. Our room was quiet throughout the day which was exactly what we wanted. Also, we made a number of requests at reception such as airport transportation, booking of the hop on hop off bus etc. Each request was handled professionally and courteously. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant/"bar" has a rather limited Russian menu. We wanted an informal drink and some nibbles when we arrived, but there were only large/meal options available. The very kind waitress found us some olives but I feel like there should have been more of a bar menu with crowd-pleasing snacks on it.

Wonderful location and decor. Delicious and varied breakfast. There is also a lovely traditional restaurant across the street.

Only one thing (and not bad enough to mention at the time) the mattress was very firm. My husband was fine with the firm bed but I prefer something softer. Its a matter of personal preference rather than a major issue and I only slept on it for 4 nights.

The breakfast was excellent, with a good range of freshly cooked and cold foods, and the servers friendly and helpful. My husband needs a gluten free diet and they were able to provide gluten free products. The location was close to the chain bridge and an easy walk from Buda into PEST across the chain bridge. Also great location to see the Castle District. Some good restaurants and bars nearby so there was no need to go into PEST each night. We even had a cheeky view of the Danube from our bedroom which was unexpected and a lovely surprise. I would definetely return and stay at the Monastry.

The pillows can improve.

We really love this hotel, first the location is great, you can find restaurants, supermarkets, important venues just few minutes walk. Second, the breakfast is awesome, we enjoyed a lot everyday: delicious bread, fruits, salads, etc. Third, the room was very nice and comfortable, very clean and with great temperature. Fourth and the most important, the employees in general, very polite and kind, especially the guy at the reception, always willing to help and with a big smile. We loved our stay in Monastery, also they surprised me with a bottle of champagne because of my birthday. Thank you for everything, definitely we are going to come back.

a bit of a walk to downtown Pest

everything except the staff were not full up to speed on local tourist amenities e.g. the fact that the water txis service was not actually operational any more. apart from that i could not fault it - good room excellent breakfast etc

The hotel was peaceful and quiet. The room was a good size and also the bathroom and the shower. It was possible to open the window and get some fresh air. Also the air condition worked well. The stuff was very helpful. The restaurant was nice and served tasty food. If I come back to Budapest, I'll choose this hotel again.
