Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The next day the lady of the hotel prepared free lunch bags for all of us and we did not have to pay for the drinks in the bar as one of us had their birhtday.

We arrived really late and the host was kind enough to wait for us to show us the room, we had also a parking spaced booked for us. The breakfast was rather basic but enough.

Pretty clean hotel near Nepliget bus station, and just a cross the street is big natural park. Nice standard hotel breakfast for those who don't like to go to shop or some fast food immediately after they woke up. The stuff provide for us really early check in, thank again guys for that help.

Romania- the fact that there is no 24h Front desk or a self-service entrance system > for those who are arriving late at night

It was an excellent choice that exceeded our expectations. We'll come back for sure!
