The rooms are clean and tidy, each room has TV and air conditioner. The use of air conditioning in included in the price (it is not charged extra). The poperty has a large garden, which is great for families with children. Additionalu, there is a parking within the courtyard. The host is very friendly, he speaks English fluently, and hepled us with everything we asked for.

Not a 'don't like' but a gentle warning. Oswaldo IS quite a trek out from the centre without a car, so you need to be prepared for this. But bus 151 a few yards from the door is regular and frequent & takes you the terminus of the Metro M3 line - from here as well as speeding smoothly into the city you can also catch a direct shuttle 200E to the airport.

The room was clean, comfortable and secure. Andreas is a really charming, genial and informative host - he clearly loves his role and, as other reviews have suggested, goes out of his way to make visitors feel welcome. He also proudly introduced me to the improvements he is planning for the summer - beautiful plants & a water feature for the courtyard included!

I liked everything. But I noticed there was no kettle in the room. I didn't need it, but I'm sure if I had asked, the host would have solved it. TV is old, personally I never care about watching TV when traveling.

This stay was one of the best. The host was extremely nice& I felt taken good care of. Room was comfortable enough& clean. Big parking space. Cute dog on premises. Nice gazebos and and a swing to unwind.

The hotel owner is very hospitable and attentive. The room was spacious and it had a comfortable bed. It also had a microwave and a small fridge. The bathroom is spacious and it has a bath tube. The territory of the hotel is amazing and it has a small fountain and lively gazebos. A tram station is close.

There are no carpets on the floor, so if you forget your slippers it's not nice to walk through the room. Mornings and evenings are a little noisy if there are families with kids, because of the front garden.

The owner was very nice and he provide us a great breakfast. He was friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The parking is free and safe and the garden is nice. The tram is directly to city centre.

I'd say that maybe the outer lights should be turned off at around 12pm for a better sleep. Although it is a very minor issue. Generally I enjoyed my stay.

I felt like at home - Andy welcomed me and spent time with me, explaining how to find nice, local spot for dinner and how to save money on commuting. I appreciated how quiet the place was and still well communicated with the city center (approx. 30 -40 min by tram). The room was clean, warm, and air co quiet. In the area close to the hotel, you can find local cafes and supermarkets. If you want to feel like a local person and you are looking for an authentic experience, Hotel Oswaldo will be just for you.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location of the hotel was great, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre (which was still easily accessible by public transport) and with a lovely garden to chill in and catch some sunshine. The owner was ever so helpful with all kinds of great advice for tourist related activities and always available for a pleasant chat. Also has the cutest dog ever. Overall experience 11/10. :)

A lovely and quiet oasis in a busy city, with beautiful garden (must look amazing during spring and summer months). Very spacious room, very cozy, with all needed amenities for a perfectly comfortable stay. The gate code gives a sense of safety and security, and the owner is very friendly, open and hands-on: he took the time to explain how things work at his hotel, showed me around, even helped me very promptly in an incident with the hot water on Sunday evening. He is always busy doing all sorts of things to improve guests' comfort during their stay, and you can immediately feel his passion and dedication for this kind of job. Constantly planning automatization and upgrades, everything whilst keeping the intimate and nature-friendly environment of his oasis. Location-wise: even though it is not close to the city centre, there is tram line 2B with direct connection to downtown - the station is only a few minutes walking distance, and it takes around 40-45 minutes to get to the main touristic attractions. Andy, it was a pleasure meeting you, thank you for being a wonderful host!!

It was a business trip, so I chose this hotel because of the location in the first place, plus the reviews were very promising. And I wasn't disappointed. Before my arrival I indicated to the owner that I need a quite room with strong WiFi (I had to hold an important meeting online as well). He took this into consideration and gave me a room next to the router which I really appreciated. Also, he brought every extra item I needed into my room (like electric tea pot, cup, plate etc.) and was very helpful in general throughout my whole stay. In addition, it was very convenient that the owner speaks perfect German and English. About the location: almost next to the hotel there's a tram stop (4 min. walk). 30-40 min. ride - and you're right in the center of Budapest! The hotel gives the vibes of a family home, and I could see that the owner really cherishes this place and cares for the comfort of his guests. I can only imagine how beautiful this hotel looks during summer when the yard is all green and blooming. If I come back to the Budapest, I will definitely choose this hotel again!

Fantastic friendly host and staff ready to help and advise anytime, nice to talk to as well. We liked the courtyard full of greenery and plants which gives every room a sense of privacy. Appreciated private parking. Surprisingly calm at night. Easy to get to city center by public transportation. This place is ideal for short city breaks stays.
