    The Royal Hotel is great value for money. Will definitely be returning in the summer.

    A few more towels can be made available than what was provided.

    Both the breakfast and dinner buffet were included, and had a good range of dishes. I was more than impressed with both the quality of the food and the service. Everyone was always super friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.

    The male manager was incredible rude. If you are making a last minute booking DO NOT pay the deposit that they request. I was sent a message to send a deposit of 14200HUF which I did pay via Revolut. At the end of my stay I paid for my room and then realised that I should ask if my deposit had been factored into the bill. When I did they told me no it hadn’t been. When I queried this and asked for a refund they told me they can’t see the money until Tuesday despite me showing the proof of transaction. I told them they should not ask for deposit for last minute bookings in this case especially for foreigners who can’t do direct bank deposits without an app such as Revolut. The manager then became incredibly rude with us and spoke very badly to my father who is Hungarian and was speaking to him in Hungarian to try and help rectify the issue. It was really bad customer service and we were very disappointed that the manager behaved in such an awful way. They did in the end agree to give me the cash and I sent them the proof of transaction as well. This should have been a simple solution and whilst all of the other staff were very nice and kind, the manager was incredibly rude and almost abusive with us. BE AWARE!!

    Clean and comfortable, most of the staff are very lovely and kind except for the male manager.
