It felt like a uni dorm or something in that area. But i wasn't in the hostel long enough to feel it.

The location is great. The staff is friendly and they went for drinks in the evening, so a bit more relaxed and friendly than other hostels.

Sleeping at night can get very hot. The hostel does attempt to alleviate this by offering two fans but they don’t affect people on the top bunks.

The staff were incredibly friendly and the hostel is in a great location: there is a metro stop just next door, the neighbourhood is buzzing and there’s some lovely eateries - don’t miss out tucking into Vaj! The hostel is comfortable and the bathroom gives you everything you need. There’s a padlock given for lockers and the staff kindly hung up my washing! Very friendly staff too.

Spicy Hostel didn't feel like a hostel, more like a flat share I really appreciated. Everyone was so friendly and I felt very welcomed. Especially Maxim answered all my questions and showed me around the city. Thank you, I'll come back one day:)

I had such a fun time at Spicy and would recommend it to any traveler who wants to have a fun but chill time! The staff were all so awesome, especially Larissa, Claire and Julia who all went out with us and always made sure we were having a good time. Thanks to everyone at Spicy, I’ll definitely be back!

Very nice young team, which is also willing to go out with the guests. Great concept to install a little hostel in an old building, which is very cozy. It's like in a shared flat. And yes, the reception is in the kitchen, which I didn't find disturbing like others here. Lots of space in the rooms and super comfortable beds or mattresses (real mattresses), which is often not the case in other hostels. The location of the hotel is still relatively central and you can reach a lot on foot. Keep it up.

One thing I got to mention that was not perfect, is that they were out of hot water pretty much the whole time we stayed there. Didn’t matter much to me but that’s something to be aware of.

Absolutely great atmosphere! At first night they cooked big family dinner for everyone for free and the whole staff joined us to celebrate. Staff was also helpful and fun and they felt more like friends than workers. There were also many other travellers at the hostel to socialize and party with.

It's a small and very friendly establishment. If I ever go to Budapest, I will consider staying again. The most important plus is the affordable price policy.

The place was a little bit unkempt. It wasn't about the fact that the building was old it was something about the fact that furniture was used and spotted especially in the kitchen and the window couldn't be closed.

The staff was very nice. They helped us with advices about what and when to visit. They made us feel welcomed it was a nice place to spend a few days.

The showers need to be fixed. I am very cautious and need security, The door doesn't close. Instead of the door you have a curtain. You never know which man stays in your hostel. Receptionists are not always there. Rape can happen anywhere, expecially in such conditions. Please consider that for the future. Just make the doors for women's showers. You also need to fix the showers because water just flies everywhere.

The staff were very polite and welcoming. They were very kind. They do not take money for a deposit for the towels. They just take any document of yours and give the towel for free. All documents are saved in the box in the safe at reception. The common space is very bright and spacious. It is warm inside. Everything is accesible with the keys. There is a small kitchen with everything you need to cook yourself something. There is hot water and a big dining table.

The only room that wasn't that spacious was the bathrooms and the showers. They were clean and functional but just a little tight. The showers are separated for men and women but in these areas the showers are open except for the shower curtain which might not be for everyone.

The Spicy Hostel is a wonderful spacious and light place with a nice metro station and a magical market hall where you can get a variety of good, cheap food right across from it. The beds in the 6 person dorm room we stayed in were arranged in a way that you have lots of space in the middle of the room. There was a pittoresque balcony with a table and two chairs looking out to the market hall and the city where I wished I had spend more time on. We didn't really use the kitchen but it looked pretty nice and well organised. There's also a big hangout aera we didn't spend much time in with even more space than in the dorms. The staff was very friendly and the communication was clear and easy to understand. The entrance hall has quite impressive high walls and has that run down but majestic charm.

Due to the fact that it's a former old flat, sometimes you can hear people talk in the kitchen area at night in case your room is next to it, but it was just once and didn't really bother a lot.

Nice people, a cosy lounge, toilets and showers for men and women are separate. There's much space in general. The location is pretty nice as well.
