How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very limited bathroom amenities, only 1 piece of soap and shampoo, I'd welcome more, shower gel for sure

Nice little appartment in an excelent location in the City, with everything closeby. The appartment was comfortable, the bed good,..nothing was missing. We enjoyed it very much and will come back.

The staff was very helpful and flexible with extra bed request. The breakfast was fabolous, the children could play in the playroom, well equipped. The apartment was big enough for 4 people and was clean.

Room 204: handle of the shower was not fixable in height (sorry, I forgot to mentioned as I was checking out). The shower cabin is very small
New facilities, breakfast was good. Charging possibilities of EV car!

The restaurant was on the lower floor and except for the fact that it was uncomfortably hot, all was good. Parking, as you would expect in Timisoara is rare and the site did have some and advertised this. The site should identify "limited parking" as there are 44 rooms and 14 parking spaces. I was lucky enough to get one daily and the site is will help you with the local app to pay for parking for a fee.
The staff upon check-in and throughout the stay were very accommodating, help with questions and spoke excellent english. The restaurant had a good variety of offerings and wait staff was PROFESSIONAL..

It is my second visit and this time i noticed the room door is quite noisy, impossible to close the door gently. Clearly audible when other guests enter or leave their room. Minor thing and no other disturbance, the room itself is perfectly silent.
The hotel has the appearance of a new modern building, which blends in perfectly in the old existing area. Modern, stylish, but modest. Parking space on the premises. Modern decoration and finish, clean and fresh apperance. A warm welcome at the frontdesk, friendly staff, efficient check in procedure, very professional. Room perfectly ok, spacious, modern, comfy bed and silent. Location of the hotel close to the historical part of Esztergom, plenty to see and to go by foot for a pleasant evening stroll. Modern style breakfast buffet with enough variety of foods, nice presentation of the food and good coffee. The hotel and ambiance is more than just basic, it feels good to be here.

Location is excellent, we had a view of our favourite Cavary hill. As to a breakfast, I would perhaps only recommend to add a little plate of olives ;-) I also appreciate that we could left a car on a hotel parking a little longer also after we left the hotel.

No tea/coffee making in room.
Good quality modern accommodation. Well located for castle and basilica, but as a result is a walk back uphill from the town centre. Good restaurants very nearby.

Had some trouble with our room temperature.
The staff were very helpful. There was some confusion because there are two Hotel Adelberts in Esztergom, but Evelyn went above and beyond to help us find the correct one. Location was great. Breakfast was very good.

Excellent location in the very center of Esztergom, availability of two guarded parking areas (one in front of the hotel, another on the side, but with direct access to hotel), quietness (especially in single rooms, which was amazing as the hotel is in the center of the town), high level of comfort in single rooms (pleasant design, very comfortable bed and bathroom), excellent breakfast (almost at the 4-star level), attentive and efficient front office employees. To conclude: one of the leading 3-star hotels I have ever stayed, definitely recommended to all visiting or passing through Esztergom.
