Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

GreeceAs I asked during the checkout, the receptionist on duty informed me that I would receive later that day an email with the receipt that the security deposit has been unblocked. This didn't happen. As weeks passed and the deposit amount was still blocked on my account I sent an email which was answered six days afterwards (after a second follow-up email). Indeed the receipt showed that the hotel had unblocked the amount on the day of checkout. The amount appeared after around 20 days on my account. I understand that this must have happened due to the bank procedures but as constructive feedback please if you mention that you will inform us by sending the receipt do not forget it later and respond a bit quicker to emails. Otherwise it would have been a 10.
We appreciated environmentally friendly initiatives such as the rooftop garden with interesting vibes, opportunity to refill the glass water jug at the room, plenty of tea options and great breakfast. Friendly and kind staff willing to help. Nice and clean room.

TurkeyIt seemed a little strange that there was no smoking in open areas. We had to go down 6 floors and stand on the street corner to smoke. Maybe only one table could be reserved for smoking.
The breakfast was so delicious. The room was comfortable. The location of the hotel was close to the public transport station.

Our stay there was amazing. Location was perfect - close to bus and metro stations. The price was fair. Our rooms were very clean, with nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. They were spacious with big balconies. The breakfast was rich and everything was very delicious. All the staff were very kind and polite so we want to say big thanks to all of them. Reka na Joli were amazing. They made us feel like VIP’s. Definitely recommend to everybody who wants to visit Budapest.

RomaniaArriving at the property after hours may be tough, especially of arrival is by car. Getting into the car park is by itself tough, but without a person telling you how to get there would be tougher. I felt happy I found a person (very nice she was) to tell me how to make it in the car park. I think the property should have 24/7 reception services, especially for people arriving late by car.
Location was awesome, gardens in the sky almost 🙂. Services provided were very good also and breakfast was very good: diverse, tasty and well organized in the space they had for it.

SloveniaI was confused on how to enter the building when we arrived. There are two different keypads and the door tells to dial a number, but there where also some other pads and sensors... we managed to get in but it took me a couple of minutes to figure it out which keypad to use and what door to use (the instructions are written on something that looks like a door, but it is not a door :-)). The area of the town from the hotel towards the train station is not the nicest, but it does have lots of options in terms of public transport to move around Budapest.
The staff were amazing! The gentleman at reception was helpful, accommodating and very kind. We felt welcome right from the start. The lady that prepares breakfast was also lovely and sweet. Can't praise them enough. I travel a lot for work and leisure and it is rare to find genuinely kind people that make you feel at ease... this place has found the right people to welcome their guests. The room was of a nice size, very clean, nice clean bathroom, comfortable chair in the room, spacious wardrobe. There was a refrigerator as well that was not working on day one... and it got replaced while we were out the first day! We didn't even ask for it, they must have noticed and made sure we had a working refrigerator for the rest of the stay. Again, amazing service. The rooms are at the top of a big building, and you look out to the center of the building that has a nice central courtyard, it is quite a nice view in the middle of a built up area of the town. They have also planted a lot of lovely flowers and plants in different flower beds so the rooftop looks quite nice. They had chairs outside to sit, have a chat or even have breakfast. Lost of options for public transportation nearby. We took buses, electric buses and even underground from Keleti station to visit different parts of Budapest. The Budapest Go App for public transport is the excellent (better than I have seen in other cities in Europe). There is huge and fantastic park 4 blocks away, Varosliget, that is huge and has a lot of interesting activities (playground, piknik area, exercising options, a castle, museum... and many more). There is a Lego shop about a block away that has absolutely everything a Lego enthusiast could want (they only take cash and only local currency).

PortugalThey offer an online check in, and they “kind” of insist that you use it. I’ve been even contacted via WhatsApp. We didn’t use because we arrived during reception opening hours You have to allow a 100,00€ deposit in your credit card. They state that in the booking page and they message you, via booking, with that and other important information. The reason I mention it is that is kind of awkward, it´s not a hostel, where we can accept this procedure. But the process is smooth, and transparent
The hotel is an excellent surprise. Clean and spacious room Great breakfast, and very nice and concerned staff 7 minutes walking distance from the subway station, and in 3 stops you are downtown The hotel occupies a roof top, and that’s a cool concept. Can be a difficult to find, but if you look carefully, you will see the billboard information, with all the instructions how to get your door open It was a great experience. I imagine during summer time, with the garden and the sunset.

United StatesThere is a musty, damp smell in the hallways of room 10-22. My wife wasn’t as sensitive to it as I was. Hallway of room 1-5 had a nice perfumed smell when I walked over there. Our room was very cold but they said because it hadn’t been used in a few days. Took a bit to warm up. They did provide us with extra blankets upon request.
Friendly helpful staff! Just a few minutes walk to Metro and train Station Keleti. Take Metro 2 and City Center is a quick 3 stops away! Very secure! You’ve got to go through 2 security doors before you get to the lobby!. The breakfast was very good. Nice variety of warm cooked foods, eggs, meat etc.
