Sopron Old Town and Hotel Wollner are what you imagine of a little town in Central Europe, kind of like the town in "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang" but without the scary Child Catcher! The hotel is scrupulously clean, the rooms have character. In so many, especially chain hotels, you get into the room and you feel you could be anywhere in the world they are so anonymous. Not so here. Niki is the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Ours was only a one-night stay, but it was a very enjoyable one. Breakfast was of the continental style, buffet service, and plentiful. It was included in the price we paid.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the centre of the old town. The beds were super comfortable, and the staff went out their way to help us up to the top floor to our room with our heavy luggage.

Perfect hotel right in the city center. It is located in the old historical building, which makes it very athmospherical. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Staff are super kind and pleasant! They met us, told abouth hotel and house's history, showed places to visit and nearby restaurants.

Tiny thing but the breakfast is good, not excellent. I think that most people will be happy and it is good value for money. Small buffet covers the essentials. They offered us freshly cooked eggs and ham too. If I ever come back to Sopron I won't even consider looking for another hotel- this one is perfect. :)

Wonderful hotel experience. Perfect location in the middle of the old town and silent at night. Our room was massive and very elegant, it felt like we were staying in a palace! The staff are wonderful and will make you feel at home. It's a truly family run business and you cal feel thay it's a special place. Great heating and lots of storage in the room - more than my bedroom back home! If you needed to work from the hotel the desk in the room is brilliant too.

From the first moment of arrival we felt at home in this most beautiful hotel. The atmosphere created by their wonderful furniture and friendly environment lifted our spirits to a height which left us feeling rejuvenated and happy. A totally romantic guest friendly place to visit. Fantastic delicious breakfast with perfect coffee!

The hotel couldn't be located more centrally. This centuries-old mansion is charming, comfortable and situated in a very quiet surrounding. The breakfast is good, the wi-fi signal is strong and reliable, while the hosts are very caring. Can't recommend more.

Minor thing, (honestly, I wish this would be the biggest problem on our planet) but it would be great to have a wider selection of German/Austrian TV stations in the room, given the fact the hotel is basically located at the "gate" to Austrian border (yes, I know, I'm a TV addict LOL)

Fantastic location in the historic city center, incredibly friendly staff, I totally felt like being part of the family. Stylish and cozy rooms matching the beautiful old town of Sopron. I can only recommend this hotel for a nice stay in Sopron and we will definitely return! Aw, and that espresso and breakfast every morning... amazing! A big THANK YOU! :-D
