How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The shover caused troubles with cold water. It took several minutes until it started to get warm. Guess there was some spesific way to open the shover and i just didnt figuire it out, haha.
The host was kind and warm, very helpful. Place was calm and quiet and location was great. City was 5-10 minutes by walk. Bed was comfortable and big, decoration of apartment was lovely and colorfull.

The house is located on a corner, right next to the main road crossing the town and the windows are not facing the more quiet square with trees as originally expected. Therefore, all the traffic noise made the appartment loud unfortunately, regardless the modern windows, even during the evening. Did not get the peace and quiet feeling I was hoping for.
Nice, clean, new, well located apartment with kind owner.

A very comfortable stay. Located very close to the train station and only a few minutes away from the old town. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious, good Internet and we also had three windows with blinds. Highly recommended.

Everything very good. Nothing to complain.
Comfortable and easy to use apartment, just 10 min walk to train station and historical city center. Stylish decor and very nice shower and bathroom. Fast wifi internet. Friendly contact with owner. We planed to stay longer, but was fully booked. Hope to see again next time in Hungary !

Loud bar over the street, we heard music from there up to 2am or something Shower gel would be nice to have there for those who didn’t bring their own.

No elevator, what can be not easy if you have heavy luggage.
Honesty of the host, very clean room. Arrangement upon arrival also was good. Simple design, but modern and convenient.

The only disadvantage is the room is at first floor but the building has no lift. But it doesn't affect us who have no heavy luggages.
This lovely apartment is located just few minutes walk from the train station, local bus stops and a SPAR Supermarket, so it's quite convenient for us who are travelling via local transportation facilities. The room is super clean and maintained very well. I think it's worthy to be recommended.

Only paid parking nearby, but the hosts provided us with a ticket and additional coins for the parking.
The place is really magical, the view from the balcony was really nice, the bad is comfortable. Super clean apartment. The hosts are really nice people.

The water is a little bit noisy in the bathroom.
Very good apartments! Brand new room and furniture, nice colors, quiet. There were all needed in the kitchen (even a toaster and a coffee machine). The location is perfect: just between the railway station and the old city center (by the way, no noise from the trains). I would like to return here one day!

Nice, clean and well equipped apartment in a convenient location. The apartment even has air conditioning which is great for those warmer days. Check-in/check-out was quick and easy. Definitely recommend for a trip to Sopron and would return in the future.

Whatsapp calls from the bedroom dropped out sometimes; might not be an issue in the other apartments.
Great location between the station and the town centre. Lovely modern decor with nice stylish touches. Very well finished and good quality furnishings and bedding. Only two nights this time, but I would happily spend longer there.

Charging me on 450 HUF/euro rate instead of 370 is a rip off. I haven't realised it on the time of payment, but after checking back the booking and doing a math it was infuriating.
The property is perfect. Modern, colourful and the location is perfect.
