Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandAll was good. One tiny gripe is that hotel reception told us incorrect information about pool closing time
Friendly front desk staff, nice bustly feel, the pool, sauna, steam room were nice and the huge bubble jet pool was excellent. Loved the “orangery”’area.

IrelandWe used the pool and we weren’t aware that we had to take towels from our room or pay €2. It would be useful to know this at check in. Once we’re there it’s very hard to go back. I bought some jewellery in the hotel and I know it’s not related but perhaps putting a sign somewhere that’s cash is needed to buy the items or even the staff sharing this information when showing the items. I then had to go around Nenagh looking for an atm. Otherwise all was good. It really about communication and sharing information in advance. That would make it so much better 🙌
Everything was great. It just seemed a little expensive for stay. Staff were friendly. Very clean and plenty of towels.

IrelandI am stuck for something to complain about. It rained a bit, that was about all I can think of.
There was a great selection for breakfast. The dinner menu was very good and the food was great. I particularly liked Lisa Manning playing guitar and singing. It was a great experience overall. We availed of the late check out, that was great too.

IrelandNo fridge in room...( not a huge thing but would have been a bonus).... A takeaway sandwiches were very expensive... for what they consisted of... The ones we got in the bar were better value. Slightly cheaper... But included a side salad and dip. That said for the most part. It was a really good stay.
Staff were friendly and polite.. breakfast good value. Room clean. Entertainment excellent. Very nice bathroom and huge tv.

IrelandSome staff watched me struggle to navigate the breakfast room as chairs were all too close to each other leaving no room to move with a wheelchair. The doors were heavy and again, I was more likely to be watched struggle than help. Customers helped for the most part. Accessibility was quite poor. Doors were heavy and no automatic door/ wheelchair buttons were present. A small adaptation here would be so appreciated by disabled customers. The spacing between chairs and tables could be addressed also to make life a bit easier. Another addition which would be very helpful would be a changing places bathroom, although this is an expensive addition. If it could be considered for future that would be amazing and so appreciated. Accessible rooms with hoists, profiling beds and wet rooms would be wonderful too- although I do admit I didn't check for this as it wouldn't be useful to us yet but would benefit many other disabled customers.
Abbey court was perfectly centered to get in to Nenagh and also perfectly situated for what we needed. Had breakfast on two mornings. Tasted fine. Nothing spectacular. Rooms were VERY warm. Had window open most of the time. Nights were better but day time was really unpleasant. Beds were lovely, bathroom lovely. Everything was cleaned daily to a good standard. Shower was great. Tea/ coffee facilities were lovely and well stocked. They left a fridge in our room as asked. Very well looked after in that sense. Staff brought our bags and oxygen up which was very helpful. Food in restaurant was good, good menu and staff very accommodating and helpful. Staff overall were mixed. Some were super helpful, friendly and accommodating.
