How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing it was perfect.
What we liked about the property was the property itself and the host! Very nice family who keep to themselves (the host doesn’t be in and out bothering your stay) but if you need anything just ask because they would do anything to make your stay perfect!! Very clean modern home and is bigger than the pictures shown. Location is 5mins from Killarney and we started the ring of Kerry from Killarney so the location was perfect. Heating in the apartment was ideal and you control it. the place is maintained to a high standard with USB sockets at each bedside. Parking is perfect and private. We would definitely book and stay again here.very quiet place to stay and the beds are very soft to sleep in.kitchen is perfect to cook in and everything provided to do so. Wi-Fi and tv has Netflix with a nice fire in front. Showers are perfect with nice warm water and radiators to heat towels. Security here is very safe there are lights provided outside for when you come home late and very easy for a taxi to drop or pick you up. The sitting room has many lights for your own comfort so you can have a nice setup for a romantic evening

Our host was amazing. Since I was pretty sick, she offered us to extend our check out time and looked after us. The place is very spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is space to park the car outside.

Our host Sharon was very nice and helpful. The place is great, well-equipped and very clean. Supermarket and Killarney are easily accessible by car. It is a good location to visit Kerry.

Beautiful room, was very big with all the amenities we could ask for. Host was very friendly and helpful, the location was 10 minutes or less away from town and anything we wanted to do there. This place exceeded our expectations.

It’s a little tricky to find. The host gave great directions with pictures, but we didn’t realize we had to drive around to the back of the house to reach the suite until a neighbour advised us.
Beautiful inside and out. Lots of room to spread out. Hosts were friendly and communicative. Beds were comfortable. It’s a great place to call home when you’ve had a full day sightseeing. We appreciated having a washer & dryer to use as well.

The location of this apartment was brilliant only a 5 minute drive from Killarney main town and the National park. Apartment was lovely! It was very clean and well equipped with appliances and the bed was very comfy. Host was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return again!

I could not fault this property whatsoever.
The location of this property was absolutely perfect, so close to the town centre. It was amazingly clean, modern and comfortable.

Not suitable if you don't have a car, it would be very far to walk anywhere. It's grand if you have a car.
