How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bit noisy at closing time but it is a pub so to be expected,ordered different sides with meal but ended up with 2 sides each and paying for them even though we didn't eat them

I booked the Coachman's Inn for an overnight stay while on business in Roscommon town, I could not fault this property. The rooms are spacious and spotless, very quiet at night. Breakfast has a good selection of cereals, juices and the cooked breakfast is very good. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Definitely the place to stay when visiting Roscommon.

Not a bad thing to report.
Warmth, comfortable, peacefully, well furnished, amazing shower, well managed and staff. Ben is 100% pure decent fella and very accommodating as is John and all staff members. Very well maintained establishment.

Only thing I could fault and it's really small was the orange juice at breakfast was off, besides that, couldn't fault anything. For and accommodation was very good to a high standard

The only thing I would say is that there were not great breakfast options for vegetarians and the orange juice that we got did seem a little sour. Also the keg truck unloading outside the window in the early morning wasn't great but not much can be done about that!

There was nothing to dislike at all.
The whole experience staying at the Coachman was a complete pleasure, from the friendliness and exceptional helpfulness of the management team and staff to the comfort and cleanliness of the room and the quality of the food. We felt very welcome throughout the stay and we were looked after from the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out. The Coachman Inn went that extra mile to help us and we really appreciated it!

A bit noisy from pub downstairs even where i get room on the back so if planning to travel for work and looking for good sleep could be difficult.

The rooms were so well decorated and cosy. A real home from home experience. Food in bar was delish. More like a boutique hotel than a townhouse and bar. 5 star experience!

If I was being picky I’d say maybe put a hairdryer in the room and a few water glasses.
Pleasantly surprised by the Coachman’s Inn, Ben the manager was very welcoming and the rest of the staff were very friendly and eager to help. The restaurant served delicious food and huge portions. All round very happy with our stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Was a bit noisy at night but then again I knew I was staying in a pub at a weekend so it was to be expected.
Lovely clean, warm and spacious room. Good sized TV with YouTube available on it. We were late checking in and the host was so understanding and accommodating.
