How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Amazing staff, especially a female manger (unfortunately I didn’t get her name, but had short blonde hair) & receptionist (named Rafael) extremely accommodating and friendly. Based on my experience with them alone I would stay again. Lovely spacious clean room.

Nothing,a slight dissapointment take away coffees the morning of check out seemed a bit of an inconvenience but understandable if it wasn't a usual request

Location wise, it's really just for the airport, nowhere local to walk too or see without driving out. But we really just booked this hotel just to relax and catch our home flight next morning.
Ideal location for the airport. Restaurant was really good. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The complementary shuttle back to the airport in the morning was an unexpected bonus.

There was a window open we couldn’t closed it.As I am pregnant so was a little bit cold in the night time.
We stayed here for a night for our Anniversary , from the moment we arrived the staff were fantastic. Rooms were spacious and clean. We had nice buffet breakfast .

Coffee machine had no instructions and I just couldn’t figure it out. Meant I had no hot drinks in the room. A kettle and tea bags would have been nice to have instead

Really nothing
Location was great, room was wonderful, clean and with all the extras you need. Had dinner in the response night and it was very good and dinner in our room another night which was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was a great stay.

Lovely quiet, spacious, clean room. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious breakfasts and suitable items for a coeliac (gluten-free.) Suitable parking and room for guest with limited mobility (uses a rollator.) Would return :-)

Vegetarian options that have a plant protein would help. There was not any vegetarian options that had a protein source.

Absolutely nothing.
Lovely place to stay and with the shuttle bus its so convenient for the airport. The staff are so nice to each other and are like friends. The lady at reception was training in a young man and she was so nice and respectful to him when explaining with such encouragement, it was lovely to see. The shuttle bus driver was great craic and so helpful too. Everyone was nice.

Water pressure in my shower was poor. The coffee served at the conference was close to water, very poor. Queue management / positioning of dishes during breaks at conference wasn't great. Caused a bottleneck.
Hotel was very clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Bus is very near so convenient to get to and from Cork city. I attended for a conference and the snacks and pastries were a nice touch. The bar was also comfortable and staff very friendly.

Comfortable and well-appointed rooms in this lovely hotel in the centre of Oughterard. Comfortable bed, quiet, and welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is an excellent place from which to explore the many delights of Connemara.

I didn't book breakfast, I was told by emails that when we got there, we could add for 15 euros. However, when we arrived for breakfast, we were charged 18 each. Cleaners didn't replenish tea and coffee in the room and had to ask them for this.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was really spacious. The decor was great throughout. Personal.touvhes like the name on TV screen. Location is handy for the airport
