The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave - it was a truly delightful stay, and I can’t wait to go back.

What a delightful guest house - and what a charming host! As a slightly mobility-impaired older single traveler I appreciated the stair-free access to the building from the sidewalk and the ground-floor location of my spacious room. Everything was impeccably clean, water pressure was good, towels were large and fluffy, bed and bedding were top-notch, and heat and hot water were on point. And my room was remarkably quiet despite facing the road. Host Emmet is terrific. He offered to pick me up from the train station when I had a late-ish arrival, checked every day to see if I needed anything (towels, tea or coffee supplies, etc.) and was a pleasure to deal with. He even printed out some documents I needed for my onward travels. Definitely one of the most hands-on and welcoming hosts I’ve dealt with. The location is ideal for exploring central Westport on foot. Numerous bars, restaurants and shops are well within walking distance (even with a cane). I’ll admit I’m the world’s worst tourist, so I didn’t explore much beyond the town center (I’d come to see friends I’d met in Cyprus), but I expect all the famous sites are easily accessible. And I’ll bet Emmet can tell you how to access them!

Charming, quiet, comfortable. Just up the road from Westport's shops, restaurants, and bars, but removed enough for a relaxing night's sleep. Emmet, the proprietor, kept us informed before we arrived, greeted us kindly, and was available if we had a question. We hope to return to Westport and stay at the Dun Maeve Guest House when we do.

Finding a suitable parking spot can be an issue, the city website has a great overview of the various parking zones in Westport. Host also offers to use a visitor card for parking.

Would’ve appreciated checkout being at 11 the latest but understandable that it’s so early as emmet is working independently. En-suite was a bit small but catered to our needs.

When traveling to Westport Dun Maeve Guesthouse is the place to stay. Location is perfect - walking to everything you would want! We parked our car all three days we where there. Host was amazing and very welcoming and accommodating. Very clean and comfortable.

To nobody's fault! It is an older building so it does feel a bit damp. But I was out and about most of the time so no trouble.

Emmet is a very welcoming, friendly and helpful host. Accessible for questions and helps to think in solutions for, example, public transport. The room is spacious with wardrobe and coffee/tea facilities. Nice shower. Very central so easy to walk. The map is a little off in distance it's closer to the centre. Gate locked with a code so feels safe. Gasstation around the corner that serves a nice breakfast or just to buy a late night snack.

Fantastic and simple guest house experience! Emmett is a wonderful, welcoming, and communicative host who made check in a breeze and gave us awesome recommendations around town and helped us with cat parking for the day. The room was comfortable, the water was hot, and everything was super clean. The place is located right next to the bustling streets of Westport yet still quiet at night and we couldn't have been happier with the location. We'd absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Excellent location. Lovely room, even had a Nespresso machine! The host Emmet was very friendly and helpful. Throughly enjoyed our stay.
