To be 100% honest there wasn’t anything I didn’t like, I have no doubts in my mind, I will be back to stay again in the future. It’s an ideal place to stay if you want to go Christmas shopping, you have Kildare village a couple of minutes away and you also have Newbridge only 15 minutes away, you are near Dublin too.

I loved the room decor, the bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were so clean. I’m only sorry I couldn’t stay longer. The little cafe and shop downstairs were little gems and served fab breakfasts. The shop had the most beautiful foods, sweets and drinks and little gifts. We didn’t make a reservation in Harte’s restaurant next door and that is the only regret we had during our stay, they were fully booked up but there are other fab restaurants in the town. I would definitely make a reservation in one of the restaurants if you intended having an evening meal. You’re guaranteed a lovely stay.

Lovely room, nice decor. Centrally located. Complimentary water and snack. Coffee machine, an added bonus. Having restaurant facilities nearby and being able to accommodate on late arrival.

Room looks out on a walkway which can be a little noisy but not a big problem, only when window is open as room gets a little warm. A very minor thing.

Room was very cosy, well decorated and clean. Staff were so friendly. Discounts available for Hartes of Kildare, Shop and Kildare Village. Food in Hartes was amazing! Staff in shop were very friendly and the items for purchase were lovely. Great location and parking nearby for 4 euro per day. Loved it.

Single bed very small. Just Irish channels on TV.

Location in centre of town. There is a shop and cafe downstairs and a bar next door (discount for guests). Lovely decor and the bathroom is very modern. Also there is a view of St Brigid's church. Breakfast sandwich very good.

Firecastle is perfectly located on Kildare's market square with car parking only a few steps away. The room was well proportioned, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had dinner at Harte's gastropub, which is part of Firecastle, and received a 15% discount on the bill; the food was superb! A lovely breakfast is available in Firecastle cafe. A definite must for staying in Kildare town!

Parking was ‘close’ but not adjacent.

This place is deceivingly ‘plain-Jane’ on the outside & very upscale on the inside. Whoever planned and executed the design was genius.

I did struggle to regulate the room temperature. I like a cool room to sleep in so it was disappointing that there was no A/C and just a tower fan. Too much early morning noise to have the window open.

Excellent rooms with secure entry system. Check in/out was seamless. Perfectly located for Kildare Village and a very short walk to a range of bars and eating places. Deli and shop below had some fantastic food and drink items. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was spacious with decent pressure.

Staff not very friendly. An impersonal experience at check-in with little or no support. Parking is difficult given the location

I'm being picky but as it's central, parking is in a public car park. It's fine. Pay by the day €4.

Bespoke bijou boutique hotel with secure private entrance, elevator and designer hotel style bedroom. Exquisitely decorated. Very quiet as thick walls between each unit. Keyless access. Discounts for cafe and restaurant as well as kildare village outlet. Location was central. Nrspresso in room. Finishing touches. Walk in rain shower. Nice view of cathedral.

Disappointed that the booking in staff didn’t explain / show us how to get in the entrance door… I understand they were busy in the shop but if there isn’t going to be a dedicated reception for the rooms, then basic stuff still needs covering.( I was the one with the bags standing the pouring rain waiting for my husband to return after he’d gone back into the shop to ask, after no explanation given when he checked in).

Location and view ( room 2) was fantastic, of the market square. Very quiet. Cafe/ delicatessen/ gift shop below was fantastic.

Beautiful decor, modern and clean. Location is excellent and the breakfast in the cafe/grocers below was also very good. Kildare is a beautiful village. We will visit the Firecastle again and recommend it to our friends.

The room was great! Very comfortable and spacious. My kids loved it so much, asking when we will go there one more time. Great place! There is a shop nearby, very good for breakfast, lunch and souvenirs.
