Large and well-equipped room. Excellent breakfast in a lovely room with a countryside view. Hosts are a very friendly couple. Safe and spacious private parking.

Sheila and Sam are a lovely couple who opened their well-appointed house to guests. We had to leave in the morning, so Sheila set us up with a breakfast that was delicious and superb coffee. The next day, we stayed for breakfast, which was a full Irish breakfast and salmon on the lightest fluffiest scrambled eggs. There is a wonderful sitting room. The location is a 2 minute drive to Kenmare, which was perfect as we enjoyed the quiet in the countryside for sleeping but close enough to stop for dinner in Kenmare. In the room we stayed in, there was a large queen-sized bed and ensuite. The bed is firm, and the sheets smell so fresh. The ensuite has a modern shower with lots of hot water. Killarney is only 1/2 an hour away. We wished had more time to sit and chat with our hosts as they are lovely

We have stayed here twice and on both occasions the whole experience has been perfect. The small things make the difference like filtered water and milk in a fridge for guests. Beautiful view from the breakfast room.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Everything. The room was fantastic, the views lovely and the couple who run it are wonderful. The cooked breakfast was great as was everything else on the breakfast menu. There was a fridge at our disposal with filtered water and fresh milk. We were also given a lot of advice on what to do and see in the area.

Peaceful location, yet quite close to amenities. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and lovely people. Room was large, very comfortable and had numerous extras. Breakfasts were amazing: freshly cooked to a high standard, with lots of choice and in a very pleasant dining area.

The place is amazing. Room was very specious with daily cleaning service. Breakfast was excellent - I think u cannot have better one in any other place. Sam and Shaila were so welcoming and helpful!

There is nothing I didn't like about staying here. Everything exceeded expectations, and for the price, I've never had a better stay.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The room was comfortable and private with a fantastic view, the location was near town and easy to get to off the main road, and the breakfast we were served was delicious. We were also given great advice on our travels.

A beautifull house to stay at and very nice hosts. The room was very big and the bed was great. Very luxurious breakfast. We would certainly go to Fotgefield House again if we would go to kenmare again.

Extremely nice and helpful host couple Delicious breakfast with several options served in the private dining room with wonderful views into the green landscape Besides the rented rooms another room with a large table could be used to sit together, f.e. in the evenings Only a few minutes to town with several restaurants and big supermarkets
