Location is fabulous, lovely atmosphere in the hotel; loved the maintenance of so many original features, the staff were so helpful, the food was outstanding.

Location excellent with the town only a few minutes walk away, and wonderful view. Hotel is very old but has great charm. Choices for breakfast were very good . All staff accommodating and friendly. Spa treatment was lovely, Aoiffe was very professional and ensured I felt relaxed and comfortable.

Very good location in front of the small ferry to Garinish Island. We enjoyed the restaurant, fantastic food and very friendly staff willing to help. Big private parking. Nice bedroom with confortable beds.

Hotel needs refurbishment , carpets worn, paintwork needs update. Room was small.

I booked it as it had a spa in particular which was not available and one of the 2 hot tubs was not working and a specific time slot had to be booked which I was not aware of. When I stated this at check in the response was blasé well sorry about that …. Very disappointed with the lack of service at that point as I was not aware of spa policy having booked through booking.com

The Location is incredible and views are amazing with beautiful walks nearby. The food was also delicious and the staff were friendly - Dylan at breakfast was a great waiter.

The shower was poor and the pillows were uncomfortable. Just minor.

Beautiful old building, great location on the outskirts of the town. Food in the restaurant was very impressive, staff were attentive. Double room was on the small side but otherwise cannot fault.

The hotel itself looks a little tired, needs painting, new carpets etc..

Staff were very friendly, and attentive. Food was excellent. The room was looking out onto the sea, lovely view. The bathroom was very clean and looked newly decorated.

Space was tight. Small desk barely fitted laptop. Room adequate for a night or two. Perhaps a little small if staying longer. Lobby outside restaurant a little on cool side. Perhaps use of hot tub should be free for guests staying in hotel. Opening times of SPA were limited.

Small single room with comfortable double bed. Nice view over the sea. Tea and coffee facilities provided. Excellent breakfast. Lovely log fires in lobby and comfortable chairs and table to read and / or enjoy a drink by the fire.

While we got an upgrade I found the twin room a bit small for two adults sharing.

The staff wre the friendliest I have encountered for a long time. Everyone from reception through the restaurant staff, bar staff and laundry were so helpful. The location is great looking across the bay. The food was fantastic.

The bathroom in the family room is quite small- no shelf to place items. A little chilly also. Our elderly mum was with us and struggled a bit with the steps- this may be helpful to be aware of when booking. However she made it and it didn’t take away from our enjoyment of an excellent night away!

I love that it had character. Even though it was a bit like a maze to navigate- this added to the character and charm of the hotel. The food was amazing. The staff were extremely professional, helpful and friendly. The spa was relaxing. The room was comfortable although a little cold.

Spotless, comfortable, and great location. There's a great sense of the history about the place.
