How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bar had no entertainment on the Saturday evening!!!! The price of the drinks in the bar was extortionate.
The room was magnificent. The pool was exceptional and great to have two different pools (adult only). The breakfast was delicious.

The walls are a little thin and the parking is a nightmare. The restaurant menu was a little niche. Not much choice and everything seemed to have truffle oil on it - which I dislike. The lighting in the room was quite poor, you seemed to be standing in your shadow all the time.
The shower was amazing; the location is great; the staff couldn't do enough to help. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.

We were surprised that there was a €5 charge for room service, but we were happy other than that :)
The leisure centre exceeded my expectations. We loved it! The food was great too.

Central heating was set at 30C. Windows could only be opened about one inch. Even though I set the heating at 15C as the room is well insulated so I cooked all night in intense heat and got very little sleep.
Friendly staff and nice bedroom. Excellent shower.

Decor in bedrooms needs updating. Swimming pool and changing rooms could be warmer. Swimming pool needs proper family rooms so kids can go with one parent.
Location was great. Very close to shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel has everything on the premises from restaurant to leisure centre. Staff are very friendly and approachable. Food was lovely from breakfast lunch and evening meal. I definitely would recommend this hotel and will be back.

It was too hot in the room and there is no way to control it as it is central heating. Only had a fan in the room.
Room newly refurbished, very clean and comfortable Pools, sauna, gym are awesome. Excellent s ervice overall. Breakfast is really worth it, plenty of choice.

I found the prices at the Arkle restaurant too high fir the quality of the food, especially the children's.

Great hotel, room was very clean and spacious. Facilities are excellent. We used the family pool and it was great. They had kids club on at the time of our visit but we didn’t use it. Bar was lovely and has a huge screen for sport. Lovely cafe attached to the hotel. Breakfast was lovely.

Unfortunately our comfort was very compromised by a person next door to our room banging loudly and aggressively at our door late at night and banging in their room as we we we're getting ready the following morning for a hospital visit. No fault whatsoever of the hotel it was just one of those things you cannot control!
We love this hotel and have stayed several times , we usually stay the night before a visit to crumlin hospital to give our son a nice place to swim , chill and relax. Fantastic hotel, amazing staff , fabulous food & facilities. We were very happy to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms that were under construction last time we visited, room comfort and decor was absolutely beautiful.
