How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

All was fabulous. Sharon showed me the room.. which was spotless, bright, and large. Common area was a kitchen with coffee tea and snacks available on arrival, and breakfast for the morning. Comfy couch, bookshelf and bowl of fruit. Walked along the royal canal which is right there, before heading to work. The host couldn't have done more.

Unfortunately the wifi didn't work, while I was staying, which happens sometimes, I understand that. For me it was a bit of a problem as I was travelling for work and needed to do a few things.
Very friendly hosts and lovely property with beautiful surroundings. I had a quiet night, which was very important to me.

The bathroom was nice and big, and spotless. However, the pressure in the sink tap was very low and so I wasn't encouraged to get a shower the following morning. But this wasn't a big deal for me as I had showered right before arrival. Would highly recommend staying here.
The room was nice and airy. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette on the landing was a fantastic idea, we had access to tea facilities, cereal and our own shelf in the fridge, right outside the bedroom door. It was very well laid out.

We had a really pleasant stay, the hosts are super friendly and the location is ideal for anyone using the royal canal greenway. The rooms are large and spotless with wonderful bathroom facilities, would stay again.

Very comfortable and clean room. Hosts very accommodating when we asked to check in early. Good Kitchen facilities. Excellent shower. Quite location in nature. Hens in the garden 😁

We liked everything but if I was to add anything it would be a full length mirror, shower gel and shampoo.
Great countryside location on the Greenway. Very comfortable and spacious room. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Nice quiet area. Lovely shower and big bathroom. Comfortable communal area with self service continental breakfast in a kitchenette with 24/7 access to it.

Spacious, clean modern room with en suite bathroom. The bed was soooo comfortable. Fantastic area to enjoy the continental breakfast provided and no need to book a time slot. Plenty of options available, with all the facilities to make it just the way you like. Genuinely friendly hosts are lovely to chat too and Sharon even gave me a lift to the local pub (Murphys, well worth checking out) where I was meeting some friends. Highly recommend staying here if it's fuss free peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings that appeal to you. Easy to find and ample free parking onsite.

The extras that were included in the mini fridge and kitchenette were so adorable. I would've loved some toast and jams for brekkie the next morning. But this would absolutely not prevent me from staying is this luxurious, cosy and immaculate guesthouse. In fact, I can't wait to stay again! Xx
Absolutely beautiful room, so comfortable, so private, included everything I needed. The carpet was so plush and luxurious, bed is super comfy, the bathroom is so spacious and gleaming. Everything is absolutely spotless and immaculate. Ample parking. Hosts are so friendly and let you come and go as you please with complete privacy. I will absolutely stay again and recommend it to everyone. So handy for access to Mullingar and Center Parcs. I stayed here so that I could enjoy the spa day experience in Center Parcs. Perfect location! By the way, remember to give Stryder their adorable black labrador a huge cuddle, as he is the most wonderful & loving mascot of Greenway! 💖

Everything....I was greeted with extreme politeness and a lovely welcome. I felt right at home and was shown around. The room was perfect, spacious and had everything I needed after a very long day. There was a fabulous space where I could make a drink and use the kitchen facilities. I would definitely recommend it. The family were lovely, yet allowed us a chance to relax & feel at home.....

Nothing negative about my experience
Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, beautiful spacious bedroom and ensuite. Lovely host and stocked fridge with snacks, which was so impressive. Lovely house
