There was no lifts. The decor was very old fashioned and the rooms were very dated and needed a revamp

The location couldn’t be better. The food was amazing and good value

We didn't like that there was No Lift In the Hotel. We found that the Sink in Our Bathroom was not cleaned Properly & that we could not Use it except for Cleaning Out Teeth. Needs to be cleaned better before Guests arrive for their Stay!

My friend & I liked the Character of the Hotel.

The hotel is not suitable for mobility impaired customers, it has no lift and many many stairs to climb. Car parking is restricted. Breakfast is disorganised, no tables set and completely self serve.

Rooms were comfortable, staff very friendly, food excellent and location ideal. We enjoyed our stay but would not return due to accessibility issues listed below.

Rooms were very small and dated. Lots of steps to bedrooms and no lift. Car park very small.

The hotel is very quirky but nice. Bar food was fab and breakfast was great too. Great location. Good value too.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like. The only "negative is, there's no lift

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel has been refurbished since we last stayed and its fabulous but still keeping with the old feel. Breakfast was always nice but has really improved also.

Only little complaint I'd have and it is a minor complaint is the shower in my room was cold.

Sadly, tables in the bar and restaurant were poorly cleaned round the edges and undersurface; last night’s drinks and snacks still not cleared the following morning in bars and public areas even by 10am on a Friday morning; upholstery on seating in some communal areas was dirty and off putting. Would stay again despite these negatives because we think they can be easily resolved when staff are aware of them.

A hasty booking resulted in a surprising treat.Interesting and beautiful historic hotel. Excellent staff throughout the hotel. Very comprehensive and good quality breakfast. Comfortable, clean and well equipped rooom.

Could do with an elevator probably, but what's a few steps? Could crib about one or two little things but not at the price.

Great lively yet homely little town centre hotel. Great value. Excellent carvery, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Handy free parking. Superb location. Fascinating and authentic Joycean history thrown in for good measure. ('Ulysses' bar) Liked nearly everything about the place!

We did not have any issues with the room and the hotel.

The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room, which is used as a ballroom on some evenings, provided a nice athmosphere. The restaurant and the bar with an outdoor beer garden really added excitment to the stay.
