The standard room was extremely pricey at €330 for just 1 midweek night not including breakfast. I had originally emailed for a birthday cake to be delivered in the restaurant for desert but unfortunately it wasn’t delivered. I had to ask staff later to deliver it to the bar. But the staff were very good on-site and sorted the situation promptly. It just would have been nicer if it was in the restaurant.

The bed was extremely comfortable! The leisure center opening hours were brilliant. The staff were very friendly and provided mostly 5 star service without been too much on top of you.

Inside the hotel there is a really nice fine restaurant, the food was excellent although I was not impressed with the basil panna cotta. The staff of the hotel was superb very kind and helpful. The ratio between cost versus the dimensions of the room in my opinion should be revised. Overall a Good experience and it has been a pleasure to stay in this premises.

the wifi was down for 24hrs but instead of being able to assist with an alternative solution I was left to find my own way of identifying a cafe where there might be internet to send important work emails.

I love Hayfield Manor . As a family we enjoy it so much . The staff and their standards are excellent. But our dinner was vv disappointing. How Hayfield Manor thought that was acceptable, regardless of the price . How a chef in a 5 star hotel could cook up and think it was acceptable to serve it to a customer…

There were stains on the carpet in the room 117, u cannot call this a superior room, I paid for an upgrade I have seen nicer 4 star rooms. when u pay so much to stay for one night I’d expect a lot better. My friend did not enjoy her meal, the turkey and ham was very dry, not worth what ur paying for, she ordered the warm pear tart and it was stone cold. I don’t normally complain but ye have sent me this survey. I vote with my feet, I’m just disappointed we paid for a 5 star hotel but got ordinary food the only exception was the duck. I would like a call back, coz overall I’m not very happy just feel robbed as I said we paid for the experience, we defo didn’t get that tbh.

I loved the swimming pool, the jacuzzi was great, I had the duck for dinner it was fantastic. Staff were great

Little things/details that on their own are not much but given price, one would expect greater care eg hair dryer didn't work properly, ironing board was a bit wobbly, smudges on wall, soap holder in shower was a bit worn, I'm not sure Covid certs were being checked properly/consistently etc.

Good atmosphere, great location, staff were helpful (eg early check-in), lovely grounds - many things that make it feel a special place.

The room

I was very disappointed with the room … everything else was fine but the room was the same I stayed in the last night and felt it was not 5 star standard and could do with being redecorated . I never complain but was disappointed as it was my friend and I 50th birthdays and we were celebrating this post lockdown . Food was good

Having booked through Booking .com , we were told by receptionist on checking out that we were booked in at room only and we could have received B&B rate for same price had we booked through Hotel directly. Most unsatisfactory. The second morning the waitress forgot my breakfast and after 20 mins I had to ask another waitress for it. On the first night, we were situated in room 230 which was directly over the kitchen and were inconvenienced by the loud noise from the fan which starts at 6:30am and finished at 10 pm. Overall very poor value and I don’t think deserves 5 stars.

Decor a little outdated bar our en suite which appeared updated . I felt that the foyer was completely over furnished
