It was very cold that weekend and we found the corridors quite cold when waiting for the lift. It wasn't a big deal though. The decor in the corridors is also a bit dated in comparison with the room.

The room was comfortable and nicely decorated with a double and single bed, perfect for my sister and I. We were attending a wedding in the nearby Castle Lesley and really enjoyed being able to use the pool and jacuzzi the next morning. This was definitely the highlight of our stay. We absolutely loved the jacuzzi. It was easy to get to and from the castle by taxi. The breakfast was very tasty on both mornings. The staff were always pleasant and ready to help in any way they could. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Only noticed on the morning of checkout the floor was covered with hair pins what I can only think of as being used for an upstyle. This shows the floor wasn’t clean from the last guests which makes me feel quite uneasy.

Still some ongoing refurbishment in the spa. The breakfast room looks a wee bit tired but I'm sure it's on their to do list. Not the hotels fault, but there is not much to do within walking distance on a Sunday night in Monaghan, maybe something to be aware of when booking for the weekend. Also, perhaps some lights near the mirror in the room for makeup application? Overall, an enjoyable stay though.

Staff were very welcoming. The spa was lovely and the food was beautiful. We had an upgrade to a lovely big room with a very comfortable bed and newly refurbished bathroom.

Clean and comfortable beds. The staff at the hotel were exceptional from the front desk, bar, leisure centre to breakfast every single member was really pleasant and so helpful. An absolute delight to see! Food in the bar was also really tasty!

That everything from the rooms to the pool needs to be updated and cleaned and painted there is lots of stains everywhere and furniture is outdated and damaged.

Leisure facilities very poor!! Outdoor hot tub & steam room out of order which only left a smallish jacuzzi which was always full & a sauna. According to locals this has been the case for quite a while!! Very disappointing!!

The swimming pool was a bit disappointing. It felt very small for the number or guests and when we went it was packed like sardines, you kind of just stood in one spot in the pool and wouldn’t swim, a section of the pool was closed off for lessons so it madd it feel even smaller. Maybe do the lessons at a time that isn’t busy so the full pool can be used and make a booking system for the hotel where each guest can make one booking per stay at a time .

Rooms felt luxurious, nice white crisp sheets, bed was extremely comfortable as was the room. Carpet felt fresh and clean and bathroom was nice and big, with a bath and a shower. Breakfast was superb, with hot buffet style, breads fruits pastries pancake machine cereals and coffee machine- i looked forward to breakfast every morning. Food in restaurant was also lovely food

Couldn't use the pool facilities before checking in as we had arrived early. Steam room and outdoor hot tub both out of action for the 3 days.

Very friendly staff, good variety of food on offer, great views from the Dining Room for breakfast and a lovely menu for dinner and very good table service. Cleanliness was up to standard and both areas were nice and comfortable to relax in for your meal.

we had dinner in the resturant and it was not awful, we complaned to the waitress who went to her manger who I thought should have made the effort to come over to us but sent the waitress back over to us and offered us a drink. An hour passed and I know she overheared me complaining about her behaviour she subsequently came over and then apologised which I think it was a bit late.
