Nothing for what l needed. It is as it describes itself . In the woods, do not expect views of the lake.

A nice quiet peaceful location. Ideal for me as a solo motorbike traveller. Two night good rest and and all the facilities to cook a nice meal. The hosts were excellent, describing local area and asking after you, it’s perfect to chill out in. Even had a heated blacker left for me , heaven. Deer were hoped for but l missed their late night wanderings.

The stairs up to the bedroom you need to take care on but the beds upstairs were comfortable & even had electric blankets on .

When we arrived Declan the host had the heater on warming up the place for us . It was probably the first really cold night of the year so it still took a little while for the place to get cosy but soon enough it was nice and warm . It’s such a sweet place in the woods exactly as the pictures show . His dog Mia was waiting outside in the morning to greet us and take us on our walk in the woods just the rain stopped us short . I would love to come to stay here again as it was quiet & a perfect place just to get away from everything .

Declan was very friendly and even asked us if we wanted some homemade scones. His dog Maja brought us for a walk in the woods which was definitely a highlight on our trip ❤️ the location is just beautiful surrounded by trees and a little river flowing nearby the house. Amazing place to recharge.

My fiancé and I stayed here as we were attending a wedding in Castle Dargan which is 10 minutes away from In The Woods. Declan ordered a taxi for us on arrival. He showed us all the facilities and had the heating on. His dog waited outside the house the following morning and brought us for a walk through Slishwood Forest. Declan had told us the day before that she loves bringing residents for walks so we followed her. It was such an amazing touch to a great stay. A very wholesome spot. Can't recommend this place enough. 10/10.

Perfect place to stay a couple of days and see the sligo area. Location is in the middle of some nice places to go, beautiful walks near a lake, mountains and a beach. Much more to do in the area and iam sure the host is exited to tell you about it.

Beautiful, in the forest, near the lake, bottom of a forested hill, night time I watched deer from the bedroom window, far off the beaten track but right beside the road to Sligo. Near to Slishwood, forest walks.

Idyllic setting nestled in the trees, near other forest parks along a scenic drive into sligo town, access to heating/imersion as needed (no fiddly thermostat, no sleepless hot nights cracking a hotel window 3cm open), WiFi access essential due to secluded area, clever use of space with generous bathroom and best of all a wonderful welcoming host

Getting to the top room would be difficult if you have any mobility issues, it is up a ladder like stairway.

Declan and his dog were awesome hosts! He informed us of several things to do and his pup even took us for a lovely walk! The location is quiet and secluded feeling, I would consider it like glamping. The kitchen also had every gadget you could think of for cooking a meal! There was also a fox, deer, and a martin that frequent the property! It is very close to beautiful walk to a lake!

We didn't mind, but for anyone with mobility issues, the steps to upstairs are quite steep. There were no signs at all to find the place, but GPS did get us there

House was lovely, clean and a unique experience. Host was very helpful and friendly with great knowledge of things to do in the area. Location was close to Sligo town too (only a 15 minute drive). Overall great experience and will definitely stay again.

Declan was friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any messages. The place was great! A great little cabin in the woods that had everything we needed. Not far from Sligo, heaps of different hikes and the beach. Declan has time for any questions you have and great local knowledge. Would love to stay here again.
