Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandVery little to dislike - unless you want to be in the middle of hustle and bustle of city life, this is the place for you.
Enjoyable stay in very well presented accommodation on a working farm. Comfortable, clean, plenty of space and very welcoming host. Tastefully decorated, modern accommodation that is dog friendly. Alot of added touches such as bread, milk etc which was very thoughtful and kind - thanks Mike!

IrelandThe house was so clean, cosy & comfortable. The bunk beds went down a treat with the kids. Super location to explore Kilkenny city. Mike was there to greet us when we arrived. Treats & the essentials like bread & milk were left for us, a lovely token. We woke up to snow on the first morning, it was magical. I’d definitely recommend Knockreagh Farm Cottages. Thanks Mike.

Well located, short drive to Kilkenny. Location scenic and secluded. Cottage was warm and cosy with plenty of space. Clean, newly refurbished with everything you could need for a family stay. Generous, friendly host.

IrelandIt didnt have a small back yard for the dogs....but a very minor issue.
The photos on the booking.com do not do the houses justice. They are beautifully renovated with high spec furniture and 5 Star bedding. When we arrived the house had been decorated for Chritmsa with a tree and all. They also left us a very nice Christmas hamper together with A box of chocolates ande a bottle each of red and white wine. In the fridge there was milk and orange juice, n the presses there wwas tin foil, washing powder, cleaning materials and diswasher tabs. We have travelled to a LOT of self catering in Ireland over the last twenty years and never received this kind of welcome. The host Mike is extremely friendly and helpful. They have great plans to continue the improvements and it will be a fabulous spot when they finish. Cinema, games room a bar etc. Although it says one dog allowed I contacted Mike and he allowed me bring my two dogs.

The cottages at Knockreagh are all brand new with gorgeous interior design and every comfort you could wish for. Brilliantly kitted out - the one we were in even had throws on the sofas, candles and tasteful Christmas decorations. It was super warm and cosy. This is probably the best self catering we’ve ever stayed in. Mike was super welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. A great location between Callan and Kilkenny but also on a working farm. It would be amazing in the summer too with the outdoor seating and BBQ. We loved it.

Lovely Host, very friendly and helpful. Had milk, tea and coffee provided which was lovely. Nice bottle of wine also provided 😀. Cottage itself was lovely, set in the countryside, very comfortable and kept very clean. Also located very close to Kilkenny. We all really enjoyed our stay and will plan a return visit. Thanks to Mike and his family again for their hospitality.

IrelandSome of the pillows were too thick and too hard for our taste. On the second morning, there was a bit of an odour from the drains.
The cottage is very spacious, and very well appointed. The heat was appreciated, especially since the weather wasn't great! Mike had an excellent welcome pack ready for us on arrival. There were two friendly dogs on the farm.

IrelandThe "only" suggestion I'd have is maybe a blind or curtain on the patio door. It wasn't a major issue and didn't bother me, it was my girls who were a bit wary of the dark
Everything! It was a last minute decision to take a weekend break, I only booked the same morning. The cottages are all beautiful. Ours did not have an upstairs but it was so cute and cosy and sleeps 8, possibly 9 if you used the huge reclining sofa. It had a bath and separate shower. A utility area including a washing machine and a dryer. Mike who is the host came out to meet us, he is a very friendly man and sent a couple of texts to say if we neeed anything during our stay just to ring/text him and again on the morning we were leaving I received a text to say there was no rush to leave, take our time. He is the type of host every accommodation should have. They could not have done more for us, they even supplied food for us, essentials such as; milk, butter, cheese, ham, bread, biscuits, juice and even wine ❤ I wasn't sure whether to restock due to COVID but in hind sight I regret now that I didn't. It was most definitely a home away from home I imagine the experience of staying on a farm and beautiful cottages will be a huge hit with American travellers. I could go on and on but I'd be here forever. Please book for yourself, you will not be disappointed. I'll definitely be back

IrelandNothing - everything was great. There was nothing to dislike. A great stay altogether.
From start to finish, this was an incredible stay. Mike is a superb host, from the moment we booked to the moment we left it it was a pleasure. A lovely welcome basket was awaiting us with ham, cheese, milk, bread, butter, wine and fruit - a superb touch. The property was spotless and more than well equipped, plenty of room, exceptionally comfortable beds. A washer and drier (with detergent!) a dishwasher (with tablets). High Speed internet and a really superb large screen HD television. Every need was catered for and the location is a dream and only a 15 min drive to the centre of Kilkenny city (if you choose to stay for a few drinks in Kilkenny city, a taxi is only around €26/27) We will 100% come back, this is a real gem.

IrelandThere was very little to not like about our stay at Knockreagh Farm Cottages.
The cottage we stayed in was beautiful, the finish was top class and was so comfortable. Mike and his family made us so welcome and helped made our stay so special. Being a Pet Friendly was one of the reasons we picked Knockreagh Farm Cottages and it turned out to be a super holiday for our dog too, she met the resident dogs and the other holiday makers dogs and had such a great time too. The facilities were great, cooking was great, WiFi was great, bathroom was great, beds were great and comfy. TV was great. What more can I say?

Beautiful cottage, finished to an exceptional standard, modern but with an old style feel. The 2 bed cottage we had slept 2 adults, 1 teenager and 3 children comfortably. We brought our German Shepherd as well and she loved the freedom to run around. Plenty to do in the area with Children, nearest town 4 mins drive. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. 100% reccomend a stay here.

IrelandNothing, we absolutely loved our staycation!..
Absolutely everything. It was like a home away from home. When we arrived there was bread, milk etc there to get us started which was very much appreciated. The cottage was decorated really tastefully with the space available really well utilised. There was a smart TV which was a bonus and went down really well with our 5yr old. The location was very peaceful and great to explore Kilkenny as nowhere was that far. We will definitely be back again and would recommend staying here to anyone.

The cottage was immaculately clean and had absolutely everything we needed. United KingdomPossibly need to secure the gate at the access to the farmyard as it's easy for a little one to slip in!
Very nice little find! Great spot for family, especially with little ones. About 15 mins from Kilkenny city by car. Property had anything we needed, little things like salt/pepper/mayo etc. Didn't get around to using the hottub/sauna/bar but they looked good!
