This lovely property was a great way to escape the touristy, busy city for a peaceful, quiet evening. The kitchen was wonderful with a grill just outside our door so that we could make generous, affordable meals (grocery store just down the road). Our large, one story cottage was nicely laid out with two bedrooms (the beds and pillows were both comfy) and lots of living space! There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax or play cards at the kitchen table. The owner and his wife were so kind and willing to share information about the area and give ideas as well. If ever we are blessed to be back in Ireland, we would definitely visit again!

Stayed with cousins for a family reunion. The accommodation was perfect and the little touches did it such as the supplies that were provided. Mike and his family were so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

I did think that the price was a little high given the isolated location and the fact that there was just one bathroom.

The accommodation was very well equipped and clean. And everything worked! A bonus was the generous welcome hamper of groceries . The grounds are extensive and very safe. We especially valued the range of outdoor play equipment. The private bar was also fun. Mike was very responsive at all times.

Wonderful location and very well supplied houses, our family of 16 were very comfortable here across 3 houses. We have a wheelchair user amongst our group and he was well covered with ramps and access to the garden area.

A group of 16 of us had an absolute fantastic stay at Knockreagh! Mike is very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottages and scenery are gorgeous, the leisure center is brilliant! All round 5 star experience, we had a blast! Thank you for having us! Anyone visiting killkenny should stay here!!

The weather could have been warmer hahah!

We had a most wonderful family 2 day vacation in two fabulous kitted out homes from home. Even had Christmas decorations adorning the homes. Our host was so kind and welcoming and left us the makings of 'the full Irish' Can't praise it high enough.

Great location. We used 3 cottages for a group of 9 people and they were very cozy and roomy. Loved the animals and the owner stocked the refrigerators so we could make our own breakfasts.

We had a fantastic stay with family at Knockreagh farm cottages. They were well kitted out with everything you could ever need for a family stay. They were warm and cosy with comfy beds. We loved the hot tub and sauna and bar. Mikes communication was without fault. Highly recommend this property and wish Mike the best with his endeavours.

I had read the great reviews beforehand and was pleasantly surprised to see that they were all spot on. The accommodation itself was great and perfect for us (3 adults, 3 kids). Mike had the fridge stocked with essentials for us, including items for a fry. We had brought a few things ourselves but I don't think we needed to use them. Mike mentioned to us about the bar next door to our farmhouse, "could we pull our own pints?" It was great to be able to have a couple of self poured complimentary pints while playing a game of pool! There was a small outdoor play area for the kids which we didn't get a chance to use properly as we were out most of both days we were there. There was also a communal hot tub and sauna, again we would've loved to use but didn't have the time. I definitely recommend this property for a stay, especially for families. Its about 10mins from Kilkenny and a great base to explore that part of the country.

Very sensitive smoke alarm. Toast set off alarms 3 times. Also small door to attic rattles on windy nights. Maybe secure it?

This was the most amazing place to stay. I think it will be our favourite accommodation in Ireland. It was close to many things but not in a town so lovely and quiet. Mike was an amazing host and I would recommend this as a place to stay if you're looking for accommodation near Kilkenny

What a beautiful stay! Quick 12-minute access to Kilkenny, but so nice to be out in a serene/beautiful area. Clean and spacious rooms. We loved the ability to walk around the property and enjoy the beauty. We enjoyed the hot tub and big TV to watch sports. Owners are super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this stay, you won't be disappointed. Grocery store is 5 mins away.

Leaving.

All the extra touches! An indoor jacuzzi with mountain views, beautiful grounds, the amenities were perfect from billiards to a bar, well beyond what you’d expect from a stay at farm cottages! We had children ranging from 5-11 and my mother who is 86, we all loved our stay. Just down the road from Kilkenny city, so much to do and see. Thanks Mike, we’ve told all our family and friends !!

Nothing. Everything was perfect. There was not anything that could be improved upon. Mike clearly knows how to "wow" his guests and has thought of everything.

The accommodation and location were ideal set in quiet and serene, lovely Irish countryside. Our host, Mike was there to greet us and show us around. The wonderful welcome included a supply of food which enabled us to make a snack after our journey. We had a most enjoyable and memorable stay. As I am not familiar with this part of Ireland I am planning to return at some point to explore further and will have no hesitation in staying at Knochreagh again. Thank you Mike for a delightful stay!

We had an amazing stay. There is something for everyone here - a playground for younger kids, ample space, netflix available on TV, hot tub, sauna and a bar. The house itself was clean and comfortable and Mike was kind enough to stock the fridge with a few essentials. Highly recommend- we will be back!

It was perfect!

This cottage was sublime. It was the last 3 nights of our Ireland trip before returning to England. Could not have asked for a nicer place. Good sized cottages, excellent amenities, a hot tub, communal area and loads of open space for the dogs to run around. Mikes dogs Toby and Daisy were very adorable too and an added bonus for our dogs to play with! Undoubtedly the best place for us to end a very busy 2 weeks. I have been recommending to everybody and will be back. Close to Kilkenny and an hour away from the Copper Coast which has stunning beaches and coves. Loved every minute. Thanks Mike and family. Hopefully see you soon ❤️

Everything! Lots of little surprises like a free bar, pool table, air hockey table and a little playground . Everything you could need is provided in the cottage. Its very clean and comfortable. It really was a home from home. Mike greeted us with a box of groceries to keep us going until we got organised. The hot tub was a big hit with our family.
