Charming hosts, very warm welcome, delicious Irish breakfast along with a good range of cereal, fruit etc and home baked scones. Excellent location-quiet and rural but only a safe 10 minute walk to town on the traffic-free Greenway.

We liked it all. The one thing was that it was a little walk to town without sidewalks but we had a car so no problem. There really wasn't anything we didn't like.

The Lurgan House is a beautiful house with the feel of home. Ena was so welcoming and her breakfasts are the best. The scones, oh the scones. I ate three in one sitting they were so good. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable in a lovely setting.

There is nothing we didnt like. Everything was perfect

Even before we left home Christina was the vest hostess. She worked with me so a birthday package would arrive before we did. Then on sight she was super nice. The breakfasts were by far the best we had on the entire trip. She offered to drive us to town. Totally recommend staying here you WILL be treated like welcome family.

We loved the spaciousness and shared lounge area. Was spotlessly clean. The breakfast provided everything we needed. Gerard provided fantastic local knowledge and selection of areas to see. Both were wonderful hosts. It was a quiet and peaceful location.

Seems very picky, but, no fresh unopened shampoo, shower gel etc. Won't stop us returning though, we loved it.

The only complaint was the twin room beds were very hard, but it’s somewhat normal for european hotels/B&B’s.

It was a beautiful B&B, very peaceful, and we felt at home. The hosts were wonderful and made it a point to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was delicious and made to order by the host, and we had access to a comfortable living area to enjoy wine and watch the rugby World Cup.

While we initially had a bit of difficulty finding Lurgan House, once we checked in with Ena our two nights there were great. The room was extremely comfortable and Ena was the consummate host providing a fantastic breakfast each morning. We would certainly stay at Lurgan House again if ever we returned to Westport.

The property is within walking distance from the town (about 20 mins), but no street lighting once you leave town for some of the walk. It's still very handy, but would recommend a taxi if having a drink and staying later in town if its dark.

Hospitality from the owners was exceptional. I was travelling alone but I felt like I was staying with family, so welcoming. Room was beautiful with own ensuite.

The accommodation was so beautiful, so clean, and I felt very at home. More than that, the hosts are the most wonderful people! The breakfast was amazing and it was the perfect proximity to walk to Westport for dinner or a walk around town.

Not an issue, just a heads up...our wonderful pivate bathroom was just across the hall, so not directly connected to the bedroom. Not a problem for us, just remember to bring all your clothes/ toiletries with you :) I think most of the other rooms are ensuite though.

Lurgan House was in a beautiful setting with Croagh Patrick in background. Easy walk in Greenway into Westport. House clean and inviting and Lina and Gerald very welcoming.
