How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The WiFi was not strong enough to connect to a laptop. For 220euro a room, it should be substantial
The room was very comfortable. I liked having the Chromecast to watch TV. I felt safe.

The hotel was very expensive for what was a very standard chain hotel. There was a bit of a weird smell in the room when I arrived.
Super comfortable bed and a great view over the river. Location was fantastic for the centre of town. Breakfast was decent.

Not sure I would call the room deluxe but was a nice double with a view of a concrete wall.
Hotel was lovely and clean and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Very good location for getting around.

Our room was stocked with one partially used roll of toilet paper and no other back ups. During our stay, we ran out and did not have any additional rolls of TP to use.
The breakfast option was well worth the price. Great options and high-quality food as well as friendly staff. Also, we returned late after a night out and appreciated the two staffers checking reservation information at the door to ensure a secure and safe hotel experience.

We booked two deluxe double rooms. One overlooked a noisy alley, looking at a wall and builders scaffolding. If it hadn't been a bank holiday it would have been really noisy. The second room was upgraded, but it looked at an even closer wall and felt damp.

Hopped the large bed would have been larger. Expected the breakfast to be a bit bigger choice, for example no fried egg. More gluten free selection.

Its a shame there is no carpark but the Q carpark is very close and I guess that's what you can expect when you are right in the centre of the city
Location is excellent.Right in the heart of the shopping district and very close to English Market.The room was lovely.Staff were always helpful and courteous.i would recommend to people

The fire alarm started going off at 5.15am approx and went off 4 more times at which point I decided to check out and leave as I was not going to get back to sleep. On check out at 5.45am no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience was acknowledged. A simply apology would have been nice. I appreciate unruly guests is difficult and fire alarms are a safety issue but acknowledgement of a disturbing night would have been appreciated!

We weren’t over happy with our meal but we didn’t complain 😏 It was Mother’s Day & we made an exception. John had beer-battered fish which looked like it had been already cooked but was reheated in a deep fat-fryer where the oil wasn’t clean. He couldn’t cut the batter to eat the fish (which was lovely on the inside) but he had to break it off. . I didn’t like the soup. On hindsight, we should have mentioned it but I didn’t want to ruin my evening.
Hotel was very central, the bed was very comfortable & had a fine size television with very clear picture!

There wasn't hair conditioning or body lotion available, the room temperature was cold and the breakfast wasn't good (there wasn't fruit on top of fruit salad, the tea selection got smaller day by day, the bread was very fake, the reposition of food wasn't fast).
The bed was very comfortable and the location was very good, very central.

A little pricey, but understandable. Could use more apps on television, could use waters in the room.

Modern clean hotel with parking a short walk away. (Hotel offers substantial discount on the parking.) Very walkable city with great selection of pubs, restaurants and shops nearby. Don't miss the English Market!

The air conditioning seemed to be controlled from the reception, so even though i turned the heating up as it was cold, it switched itself off pretty soon after. I had to go to reception and ask them to keep it on.
