We adored the new thatch cottage. It was everything we thought it was going to be and more. A magical experience in the beautiful limerick countryside. The cottage itself is authentic, comfy and perfect if you want a few days to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the world. The stove fire is an amazing touch and added a great ambience as we played board games and chatted into the early morning. The outside patio area is amazing for watching the sunset. We will 100% be back to stay, one of my highlights of the Summer! Thanks Sonia for being a lovely host and allowing us to experience your beautiful cottage :)

Milk in the fridge was open at the time we checked in and eggs were due to expire next day and when we booked the cottage the breakfast was included. We stayed there fpr 2 nights. On the day we had to check out the owner come early at 9.30 am to the cottage. My husband was nacked only of the shower.Sonia never rang us to tell us she ll came at the door so early in the morning. That made us feel uncomfortable. Then later that day we got a call from her telling us that she was disappointed for the way we left the cottage wich is : one of the beds wasnt stripped, my son forgat to do it but he left it tidy, 2 blankets from the living room was not folded, an empty box of juice was left in the bin and 2 chairs in the garden wasnt in there own place. For this Sonia asked booking for us to pay extra. We are going away every month and this is the first time when something like this happen.

The cottage was lovely same as the location.

Our stay wasn't long enough. Trying to find TV channels time consuming, and it did keep dropping out but nothing can help that probably. Care needed on leaving due to speed traffic come down road.

Amazing place. Really traditionally restored to high standard. Host is friendly and will go out of her way to help. Lovely welcome package, very spacious and well kept. Ideal base for touring we covered North and south of Ireland with ease, plenty of local attractions to visit. Lovely spacious garden, the weather was good enough to eat breakfast outside. We didn't want to leave. The water pressure was amazing.

The electricity was off when we arrived for a short while, but this was a power outage beyond our host's control across the area. We were advised of this by Sonia so we knew to expect it.

We enjoyed the experience of an authentic traditional thatched cottage which however had modern amenities. We liked the location of the cottage for touring the area including Cahir, Lough Girr and walking in the Ballyhoura mountains.
