Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe hospitality was magnificent. We're already missing lady Nelson, the golden retriever. The Country House is situated idyllically. The rooms are speciaous and the beds are great. The linnen smell so good, that you dont want to leave. Breakfast is terrific. Thanks to the lady of the house! We love to come back, but for a longer time...

United KingdomDelightful host, incredibly welcoming even with our late arrival. Stunning rooms with very comfy beds - blankets provided as well as duvet. Breakfast frankly incredible in an absolutely majestic setting. Well situated in the middle of Ireland so sets up well for a stop on a long journey.

United StatesJean was fantastic, my friend left her laptop behind. Jean was kind enough to send it on to our next hotel and wouldn't take any money. Tea and cake by the fireplace, and early breakfast as we had to leave early. I can't say enough how wonderful our stay was.

Everything! Property was a beautiful gem we happened upon for our first ever bed and breakfast experience. The breakfast was amazing and the conversation was great. We learned a lot about the area and the history of the house. Hope to visit Noan Country House again if we ever make it back to Ireland!

IrelandI can't think of a thing.
I couldn't say enough good things about our absolutely fantastic host Jean. The house is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained and looked after by her and her husband. The house has so much character and charm. The room was very large and spacious. It has a traditional Irish country house feeling and it's very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. One of the best places I've stayed in Ireland. Great value for money.

United KingdomThe host was very welcoming and really helpful during our stay. We chatted a lot about Ireland and we had a wonderful time even if it was for a short time. Both rooms were located on the first floor, they were equipped with everything we needed for our stay and they were really spacious (one of the bathrooms was huge). The property was so beautiful and luxurious that we felt royals for a day. This one was definitely the best stay we had in Ireland as everything was perfect (including the three amazing dogs that made our day just before leaving). The Parking was free just in front of the property. The Breakfast was great, everything were homemade and delicious (from a traditional Irish Breakfast to the scones, pastries, yogurt and more).

Absolutely everything: a delightfully chatty hostess (who by happy coincidence met us on horseback :D), a brand new room with plush cream carpet, excellent breakfast and sitting rooms, where we were served a welcome tea. Complete peace and quiet, a herd of cow in front of the house. We were travelling for a week, changing hotels each night - this was a definite highlight.

Our stay was so peaceful and Jean was so friendly, which is exactly what we needed after flying from Canada the night before. From the pictures, I thought it would be beautiful. It was so much more than that. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

GermanyThis place is absolutely stunning, a great old building with historic background and very very friendly hosts. Also the three dogs were welcoming us warmly. We were welcomed by Jean together with the other 4 guests in the big living room with coffee, tea and a pie, had a nice chat with all the people. The rooms itself were also great, very big with a nice view and modern bathroom. We got there by car, you access a big private property area, other pubs and restaurants are just some driving minutes away. For dinner we got some recommendations, but due to good weather and the huge area of lawn with cows and the dogs we decided to get some stuff from the supermarket and have a nice small dinner in front of the histroic building. The breakfast was made freshly for us with options between irish breakfast, fresh cereal, scrambled eggs and others, it was very delicious. As the building was just opened for bookings not long ago, it does not have too many recommendations yet, but as you can see, the exiting ones are all very good, and we can confirm this :). If you are travelling by car (or you can get a taxi to get here as well I guess), this is a highly recommended place to stay - we were sad that we only stayed for a night.

United StatesWe were totally thrilled. No complaints.
We loved everything about our stay! The location was breathtaking, we watched the sunset over the farm. It was such an idyllic setting and the drive out to the farm was beautiful too. The rooms were luxurious, newly remodeled, and more than comfortable. Breakfast was superb!! Full Irish breakfast and the host even went above and beyond to get my 5 year a big birthday cake and balloons for breakfast because it was her birthday. This place is an absolute gem and the host is phenomenal. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
