I do not really consider this a negative, but there are no restaurants etc. within walking distance. Kenmare is a nice town, but it is about a 5km drive.

Truly a very nice B&B. Morty and his wife are professionals at running a B&B. The home /room/bathroom were super nice and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. The views are great! Morty is extremely helpful and will give you ideas on how to best visit this area.

was out of town, but we knew that when booked & were taxied in both directions by Marion - so not a problem!

Marion greeted us on arrival & offered us a lift into Kenmare for the evening - which was great as we were able to have a couple of drinks each! Marty was equally as lovely as Marion & gave great advice on where to travel! Good nights sleep & breakfast was a good choice & tasty! Thankyou Claire & Jason

The property is in a beautiful location just minutes from Kenmare overlooking Kenmare bay. It is spotlessly clean, very comfortable room. The breakfasts were out of this world, nothing was too much for Marian and Marty, the owners. Every day Morty went over our plans and gave suggestions, thanks to his valuable input we found spectacular scenery and routes off the beaten path. We felt so taken care off and learned so much about Kenmare, and Killarney also excellent recommendations for local restaurants. Don’t stay anywhere else! We are coming back.

The breakfast is super! Fresh fruits, cheese variations and the breakfast itself amazing. We spent more than 2 hours at breakfast , because we meet a very interesting couple at the next table and we had a long conversation. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We have got few good recommendations on our trip from the owners. 100% recommended. It was such a home and welcoming atmosphere, that we stayed longer as planned.

Nothing! Small suggestion is my partner can't have dairy milk so alternatives would be great, but it didn't take away from great breakfast and I think if we'd been staying longer / given Marian notice she'd have been more than happy to fulfil that.

Oh wow what a fantastic place. B&B superbly located by Kenmare town and easy access to the Beara Penisula. Room was large, clean and comfy. We slept well and felt looked after every moment of our stay. We had an unfortunate driving incident just before we arrived and Marian and her friends and family couldn't have done more for us, even dropping us to kayaking that evening when we couldn't face the car again so soon. We could not be more grateful and are only sorry that our stay wasn't longer so we could enjoy the hospitality and enjoy the surrounding area. We will certainly be back to do so, and have recommended Oakfield to friends and family as a great example of famous Irish hospitality. What a lovely B&B, I'm glad there's still hidden gems like this

Wonderful comfortable bed. Great shower. Fabulous view. Delicious breakfast. Gorgeous welcoming hosts Marian and Morty could not do enough. Great tips on where to go eat, take trips etc. Booked great restaurant close by for us. Even left with cuttings from their lovely garden. We will be back.
