It really needs to be updated, carpets, curtains and mattresses.

It was clean staff were great, food was very good with plenty of choices. Have booked to go back again.

Happened to stop over a weekend when there was a function on in the hotel and my room was at the front of the hotel above the main entrance. Very noisy when guests were leaving at 02:30 but lovely to hear such enthusiastic Irish singing!!!

Close to family and very clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The rooms are a little run down and the hot water in the shower didn't work very well.

The food, bar and restaurant were great, and the staff were amazing - very helpful. The restaurant is only open certain nights of the week, so you need to clarify that when you check in.

No hot water in the Hotel and when I explained this I was told they had a problem with the boiler. No discount or anything complimentary just that's the way it is. Not acceptable.

The staff at the Ostan Loch Alton are the best asset of the Hotel. Although mainly young people their sense of customer service is excellent. When the storm came in John, night porter, could not have been more helpful. He looked after all the residents and made sure that they were safe and comfortable. The room was excellent and the food was very good. This is a top end 3 star hotel

The staff was excellent, it was Christmas day, hotel was close, we were the only guest, they did not cancel us because they accepted our booking way back. Excellent service attitude. They staffed the hotel to serve us Christmas dinner and breakfast the next morning. We were grateful.

The heating seemed to be on an automatic setting where it comes on at certain times of the day, I couldn't decide myself when I wanted it on, but it was fine because I was out during the day anyway and it was put on in the afternoon/evening.

Cosy and clean room, quiet location, lovely staff. There's a pub right beside it and a petrol station and shop just down the road. Nice breakfast with a number of options included.

Lovely hotel where staff speak Irish to those who can speak it. Staff are very friendly and full of craic.

No elevator...a problem with a couple of family members. Maybe mention in online reservation description.

Small issue in Room 207 in that only the bedside lights were working which made the room very dim but due to a bereavement within the hotel management they were operating with skeleton staff and other than that minor issue there was nothing to fault.

Fantastic staff, great value food, fabulous breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome and felt that our business was appreciated.

Staff were under a lot of pressure when we sat for dinner. It took 2 hours for 2 courses to be served to 6 in our party. Service wasn’t good and food was mediocre.

Cheap, decent size room, clean and dinner/bar was cheap. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was value for money.

Service at the restaurant was awful. We had a booking made for 8pm. Waited over 1hour to get 1 glass of wine and even more for our dinner to be served. Due to food allergies/intolerance the dish was modified (that was nice) but nothing offered as a replacement, garnish removed ended up with just the fish and a few potatoes on the side. Asked for one dessert that was no longer available, but not offered to check the menu again for something else or even suggested an option. No gesture made for the delay. I would not eat there again. Also the waiters had to walk through reception to bring the dishes to the other side of bar/restaurant room ...

Receptionist was very nice and friendly. Staff in general nice. The room was good. Breakfast was really nice.
