I should have stayed longer!

The apartment was beautiful in an excellent location, very quiet and well appointed. The welcome pack was outstanding and meant we could have a wonderful breakfast before departure. Indeed we even decided to cook our own dinner for the first time on the trip.

Would have liked parking on first day. Gate to terrace would be handy to get luggage into apartment. Too high to climb over!

The shower was huge and there was shampoo and shower gel provided. However, the shower didn't have the water pressure nor the temperature we are accustomed to. It was okay, and we still got cleaned, but it would have been the icing on the cake if we had these things.

It was a large and lovely decorated flat. It had all the perks to make it comfortable and a home-away-from-home feel. There was everything we needed and wanted in the kitchen for quick meals. The hosts provided lots of food (e.g. fruit, pastries, cereal, bread) and condiments (e.g. jam, butter) to make breakfasts and snacks very easy. The bed was big and comfortable affording us good nights' rest. The location was quite good as well, taking about a ten-minute walk to the English Market in town.

I nearly got my car clamped. I was told I could park behind the property but when I went to get it a couple of days later two parking guys said they were just about to clamp my car, that the apartment has no designated parking and that it’s is an ongoing dispute. I was very lucky we were able to prevent this by pure luck.

This was a very pleasant apartment, so I honestly can't say!

This was a lovely apartment on the inside...tastefully decorated and well equipped. Contact with hosts was very easy, and the location for Cork city was very good. I was a bit apprehensive when we viewed it from the outside and worried that the location next to the hospital may have been noise....However, it was not at all noisy and once inside the front door, we felt very safe secure and comfortable.

A beautiful apartment completely stocked with everything (and more) for a relaxing stay. Bernadette, the host is most accommodating and explains the aspects of the apartment very well. I was flabbergasted by the amount of food left for my use. I’ve stayed in many apartments but have never received such a high level of service. The setting along the River is very picturesque with a lovely ornate bridge right across the street. Cork is a lovely town with a rich history and extremely nice people. Do visit!

You need to coordinate to pick up the keys (ie give an arrival time) which can sometimes be hard when travelling. Not a big deal though! And if you have more than one couple staying, there is only one bathroom as an ensuite to the bedroom. Again, not a huge deal but depends on the privacy you’re looking for.

No "helpful hints" book, no hot water in kitchen or hand basin. Bathroom mirror light on all night and didn't know how to turn it off, but the owners rang back the day after and told us where the remote for the light was stashed, and were going to sort the hot water 👍

Great breakfast provisions, close to town, comfortable. Nice to have an apartment to stay in occasionally, and especially secure parking. Easy to get luggage in and out via balcony rather than walking around to the front :)

Spare bed - but this is mainly for couples

Bernadette’s welcome and warm, friendly nature! The place was in a perfect location, just on the River Lee. The amenities were amazing, complimentary fruit, milk, butter (all the essentials) for a lovely breakfast before you venture out for the day. The spare bed could be more comfortable, but everything else was lovely and we would recommend.

Collection of the keys was tricky - there were roadworks which intimated we couldn't access the apartment; the parking was tricky to find (until speaking to the host); terrible traffic on the day we went to stay - although clearly not the hosts fault. However not having a key box, or electronic way we could make the deposit payment, meant we had to commit to a time to meet the host. Who thankfully was also delayed in the same traffic. Location was approx 20 minute walk from the main attractions. Sadly for us, the traffic, and travelling with a 2 year old, meant we didn;t get the opportunity to explore Cork.

Apartment was a good size, with all the facilities and utensils etc that you'd need for a self catering stay. It was really well presented with some lovely accessories - we were worried our toddler would knock things over. Apartment was lovely - provision of milk, juice, bread etc was really appreciated.
