We were not supposed to get breakfast but when we asked John offered for us to have breakfast the next morning which was absolutely wonderful. He was very nice to do that for us

We loved everything about our stay. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The cottage was well equipped with all facilities we needed. Great view and beautiful gardens. We had a car so we were able to come and go very easily and conveniently. We would definitely stay at Rocklands again and will recommend to family and friends. Thanks John for your hospitality!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The location was easy access to town, but quiet. We were given a delicious breakfast on our final day and our stay will always have a special memory in our hearts.

The cottage was quaint and quiet. John was a marvelous host and would go out of his way to make sure that you were comfortable. The cottage is located above the city of Kinsale with a great water view of the water and city below.

The location of the B&B was hard to find. Recommend calling ahead for directions. Once contact was made, though, my host could not have been more accommodating.

The view from my room was spectacular, overlooking the river from high on the hill. Beautiful sunset. The room was large, the bed comfortable, my host very kind and helpful.

I loved the peaceful experience. The beauty of the location, the self containment of a cottage, and access to Kinsale was delightful. It felt like a fairytale. I immediately wanted to stay longer than the three nights I booked.

This is a lovely little hideaway. A cosy cottage with everything you need including a beautiful outlook. Even though it is in the garden of the B&B, it felt very private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and felt it was great base to explore Kinsale.

The serene location is delightful. The hosts dog, Poppy is a charmer and the cat, Simba is a lover. The cottage is a perfect get-away for 1-2 people. Plenty of space, especially with the front patio. We hope to return again.

Such a lovely hideaway, a little walk into kinsale but not far. John was very hospitable, letting us check in early and keep our bags there before we flew back. The property has everything you could need and gorgeous views over the river (and very friendly cat and dog).

The cottage wasn't quite as clean as I expected. There was dirt and debris in some of the corners and dust on the back of the tv which was found when repositioning it.

Perfect location for anyone looking to stay a little further from the hustle and bustle of Kinsale. Easy 20 minute walk into town, be aware the walk back is uphill but was totally walkable. Great views from both the cottage and the walking route. John was very nice, meeting us upon check in to show us around and give a few instructions. He also popped out to check on us if he happened to see we were outside. Poppy (dog) and Simba (cat) greeted us every morning and loved being pet. I really appreciated the overall charm of the cottage -- the gardens are beautiful and the property itself has a country feel.

We had the wee cottage. It was quaint, private and had an amazing view and a great place to relax of a morning and evening. John the owner was an amazing, caring host. He bought us down great tasting home made coffee pots each morning and picked us fresh, delicious cherry tomatoes straight from his green house. Poppy the dog and Simba the cat loved to come and say hello. Very placid and friendly pets. Our little baby girl loved seeing them.

All uphill if you're walking up from town.

We had a lovely stay at Rocklands. Every facility if you wanted to make a four course dinner! Plenty of everything in stock. Outdoor furniture aswell to sit and enjoy the views over Kinsale 😎 John is a great host. We would definitely stay again.
