Driver to the location was difficult on a very narrow road (like most roads in Kinsale). Everything else was wonderful.

Very comfortable accommodations. Lovely shared lounge with a spectacular over the river valley. Breakfast choices were very good and the meal was excellent. John was a very friendly and heloful host.

Probably the most beautiful B&B I have ever been to. Breathtaking location, on the hill right on the Kinsale harbour. The kindness and assistance of John did the rest. The breakfast in the living room with the wide windows is priceless

The views out of the property windows were absolutely breathtaking! Everything was clean & comfy, breakfast was wonderful, and, the host was absolutely exceptional. He was so friendly and welcoming and even gave us a quick tour of town (where to eat, drink, etc.). Would highly recommend this accommodation!

Our room overlooked John's beautiful gardens. The breakfast room provided a view of the water and Kinsale. The breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. John was an informative and gracious host. We highly recommend Rockland's House B&B

Rocklands House and John, the owner/host, set the bar very very high for the remainder of our Ireland travels! It was our first B&B experience since leaving Dublin and it was absolutely delightful!!! Our room and the view of the harbor were perfect. John is an incredibly gracious host whose breakfasts (including the most delicious scones of our 2 week Ireland stay!) are beyond wonderful. John seemed to enjoy visiting with guests and giving local insights into the area and its people. We would definitely return to Rocklands House!

Welcome was a bit gruff, hand towels were threadbare, no help with baggage up the steep stairs so no good if you’re elderly.

A take away breakfast for who needs to leave before the breakfast time would be a must. Something to bit before getting to the destination (in our case the airport). All coffee shops were closed and would have been very appreciated.

Very friendly, warmth and enjoyable place to be, close to downtown but in the middle of the nature with a breathtaking landscape view of Kinsale. For sure John and his cat Simba made us feel at home in a very special way. Thanks a lot!

Nothing really! It was a little further out from the town centre than I had realised but that’s really on me for not looking at the map. I’d still go back again though!

The house was beautiful and the views from the living room and bedrooms was absolutely stunning. The bedroom was really comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was ample and delicious! John was perhaps the best host I’ve ever had from booking.com, offering to drive us into the town when we needed it and generally being incredibly happy and helpful. The whole stay was fantastic.

Nothing really. However for the less than fit, it is a long uphill walk home after a night out, but a taxi came at once when I rang, so not a problem at all.

It has a wonderful view. John is a very friendly host. Free parking on site. Beautiful lounge room to relax in.

John is an absolute gent. I can't speak more highly of him. His bnb is beautiful. This was the best bnb we have stayed in. The room was lovely, good power from the shower, bed was comfy and beautiful views. The breakfast was excellent. You wouldn't get it as good in a hotel who have all turned to buffets. The breakfast here is fresh, cooked to order. The walk to town is lovely, quiet country road into the heart of kinsale, takes maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Would 100% recommend.
