Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomWhere do I start? Place is absolutely disgusting in every way. How the owner is not ashamed of themselves I will never know. The car park is so smelly, bins of over flowing rubbish everywhere. Food lying all over the ground. The reception, hallways and rooms have the worst smell ever! My pregnant girlfriend was gagging every time she walked in the place having to cover her mouth and nose even with her mask on at all times. The rooms? Actually proper disgusting. Door handles was covered in sticky dirt, beds had actual springs coming through them, kitchen table had cigarette burns all over it, arm chairs was stained everywhere, tv had 3 working channels, oven/ grill didn’t work, and only one ring on cooker working, kettle and toaster and microwave looked like it had not been cleaned in a year or two, floors was rotten and the cutlery had food stains on them. Had to go buy plastic knifes forks spoons plates and cups to eat. Had to buy anti bacterial wipes cause my girlfriend was generally concerned she and the child we had with us would become ill! And then they said we would be fined if we didn’t leave the apartment clean? How can we leave an apartment clean if it was disgusting in the first place. If that’s their definition of clean I would hate to see their own homes. Not a cleaner is sight! Empty bottle of sanitiser sitting at reception all for show. Hope they enjoy their visit from environmental health. Place should be shut to the ground and knocked down, embarrassment dirty place is all it is!

IrelandWhat did I like was the question there??? No welcome ..no information..needs a serious revamp..totally disappointed!! If we as irish people who understand the culture are so disappointed how must anyone from another country feel ?? Strongly wish to speak to the owners after this excursion..I have never ever been so disappointedin a place and that says a lot !!!!.not into negativity...but this place shocked me to the core !! And I have been around a while ..😪🤧🙈 if there was a refund policy I would have gladly taken the keys from the grubby table they were thrown on and went straight home !! Not impressed..cead mile failure !!!!
Other than location ..nothing! There was 3 numbers to telephone on the door ..rang 3 people no one answered ..really disappointing welcome when you get out after along drive and no one to greet you ..??? Never ever has that happened before ..either in Ireland or abroad..no one there all week long ..eventually got a phone call back to say which room to go to and that keys were on the table..shocking especially being irish ..in Ireland!!
