Really would have liked to stay longer!

The house is in a rural setting, so quiet and peaceful. No street lights so able to see the entire night sky. Very comfortable house. The kitchen has all the utensils needed. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back.

It was just a bit tired and needed a bit of paint putting on the walls and doors. The front room smelt a bit damp but as we weren’t in it that much it didn’t bother us.

The property was very nice, a bit dated but overall a nice house. The rooms were very big and once we got the heating on it was lovely and warm with the open fire going. It could do with a bit of updating, walls painting and a deep clean as there were some cobwebs in the bedroom but I think we might have been the first ones in this year.

Perfect stay. House was big and cosy, very well equipped and very clean. . Host was very helpful and polite. Very beautiful surroundings around the house for walks in the woods. Castle nearby was a great addition to the stay. Great destination if you have a dog. Highly recommended.

Hot water was a challenge for us Aussie’s as we didn’t know how to use the power shower/heat pump.

There really nothing we can come with

1), where it was situation,,well off the main road, Second, a big front garden, 3), forest walks beside you ( miles off. Pathways) for our dogs and ourselves to enjoy for hours 4), Ballina no more then 5 mins away 5) our host, couldn't have be more accommodating,, even leave wooden blocks 6) we will be back, Thank you for a lovely stay

Perhaps a couple of board games or books to enjoy whilst on holiday might be a nice touch to have.

Fabulous location, Patricia and Seán were very welcoming, kind and helpful. The kitchen was well equipped and there was lots of space for the family to spread out and relax. The beds were super comfy and the showers great. The whole house was spotlessly clean. Our hosts went the extra mile to ensure we had enough fuel for the wood stove and gave us suggestions for things to do locally.

We booked this accommodation as we were attending a wedding in a castle nearby, we were delighted to hear there is a short walk to the castle so for us the location was perfect. The house itself is fantastic with everything one would need. I would highly recommend this property.

We went down to merry monk restaurant the food and wine was excellent the staff were wonderful as well so friendly and looked after us well we will be back there as well the food was delicious and so much as well it was well worth it thanks Charles and Betty mcnally
