Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Location is great, 2 mins from the train station and 10 mins to pubs and restaurants. The staff are lovely, we got there at 12 and they let us straight into our room. We particularly loved the pool, sauna and steam rooms- all were super clean and really relaxing after an exhausting couple of days. The room was spacious, beautiful, really clean, comfortable bed and we didn't hear any train noises at night. Lovely bathroom too. The record player was a lovely bonus, we enjoyed playing a few records while relaxing in the room.

IrelandMy room was right beside the train station and they were doing work so the sleep wasnt great with the noise and the beds are a little short. Im 6'2 and the beds weren't for tall people.
Great place, great design. restaurant very nice if a touch pricey. Staff very very nice.

IrelandI didn't like that there was only a choice of 3 vinyls to play in the record player. A bigger selection would be great.
I liked that there was a lot of art through out the hotel that was labelled with the name of the piece and the artist. I also really liked the record player in the room. It was also a bonus that Netflix actually worked on the TV because this is surprisingly hard to come by in most hotels these days.

IrelandEverything was overpriced in the hotel €7+ for a pint €55 for a bathrobe. Breakfast was the worst no buffet just one dish for €20 with coffee and juice included. A bowl of granola with some yogurt isn't really reasonable compared to what other places offer for less. No wardrobe in the rooms would be annoying on a longer stay.
Staff were excellent and very accommodating. All furnishings and facilities were top notch and everything worked perfectly. Great sense of style to the place and a DJ in the evenings for a party atmosphere. Nice view of from the restaurant as well and the pool and gym are included in the stay.

United KingdomNot really a property thing but more accurate info and directions on the ‘nearby’ parking would be helpful. It is pretty close but I can imagine it being a bit miserable on a rainy day. Directions on short cut through train station would be useful, unless of course you have a lot of luggage.
Liked the cool touches in the room and general hotel decor fab.

United StatesReally, nothing to whine about.
It's a fun place to stay. They have turntables & vinyl records in a big room. The sauna, stream room & pool are excellent & free. Sophie's on the top floor has very good food at a decent price. All of the staff were very friendly & helpful. This is now among my favorite hotels. Highly recommend.

United KingdomOnly one thing, and really it was my partners observation, is that the room we had didn’t have anywhere really to hang clothes.. but that was him and not me..lol I loved it all!!!
We loved the fact that is was different from other hotels in its individualistic look but still had an air of luxury throughout the hotel.. I have papped loads of Wall papers and other cool design ideas.. for my own home, thank you for proving inspiration! Also the staff were amazing! I can’t say enough about how warm and friendly they all are!!!
