The room was very stuffy, no air movement. We opened the window but were met with the pungent odour of the stagnant water in the nearby bay.

When we arrived, the sheets had a couple of stains on them and looked like they hadn't been cleaned well. It was taken care of, but front desk staff is hard to find. Nobody mans the desk and getting someone to answer the phone or come up to the desk to talk to us about the problem took a while. The phone just rang forever and when we went to the desk, we had to ring the bell a couple of times to get anyone to come.

We got upgraded to a large, suite style room. King sized bed, large bathroom, lots of windows. When we ran into a small cleanliness issue, the staff was quick to take care of the problem.

Totally exceeded expectations! Beautiful boutique accommodation with handmade products in the bedroom. We booked the deluxe and it was huge and super comfy!! Great gastro restaurant and bar area! Stunning location!

The tap in the bathroom sink was positioned such that it was difficult to wash your hands without splashing water over the top of the cabinet.

Quick response by someone to assist when we inadvertently left a clothing item in the room after depositing our keys in the early checkout box. The individual responded quickly and was very cordial.

The room didn't have much lighting, OK when the blind was up but once you put that down it was pretty dark!!

Nice comfortable bed, easy walk into Galway. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Nice restaurant.

Ease of access means that our view was of a roundabout and petrol station, but free parking and short walk into Galway itself made up for that!

Spacious room with lots of nice touches (electric blackout blinds, double vanity unit, reading lamp, quality coffee machine). Very friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant that was very reasonable for the quality of food.

Menu was a bit limited

CCTV, location, easy to walk into town, advance check in made it easy on arrival, setting, onsite bars and restaurants. Left some belongings in the room and had to ring for someone to let us back in early in the morning. The staff member was genial, early in the morning.

the lady bar manager was not worthy of her position. me and my wife travelled with a couple of friends and stayed at The Huntsman. on the second evening we decided to have a evening meal and a couple of drinks, which started with great food and service, but it turned for the worst as my one of our friends was denied another drink (it was 9.15pm). we asked to speak to said manager. she told me that in her opinion our friend was slurring and not fit for another drink and went on to say that they focus on selling food not alcohol. i explained to her that our friend has a speech impediment and was not slurring (which was embarrassing for him in front of other customers). after listening, she replied that herself and another member of her staff had made their minds up and that no more alcoholic or any other drink was to be served to us. DISCRIMINATION is the only word i can use to describe this behavior. This was the only dampener on our wonderful stay.

The hotel was above/next to a restaurant bar which served great food. It had free parking which was brilliant. The room was spacious and the shower and toiletries were great. The bed was big and comfy.
