How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Comfortable room but that's to be expected for the price. They have a restaurant downstairs making it easy to get a dinner. Quiet area outside of the city with ample parking.

Unstable WiFi and quite thin walls – I would recommend bringing earplugs
Lovely building, comfy beds and nice staff. Also, the breakfast options and the restaurant in general is highly recommended!

If you are a light sleeper pack ear plugs as you can hear the road.
The room and facilities were very well kept, and it was awesome to have access to the water taps outside to clean wetsuits.

The TV didn't work, and the manager didn't seem interested in fixing it. Lack of hospitality from the staff very unwelcoming.

Although my room was lovely and warm, it did smell of damp. Could do with newer windows to keep road noise out.
Good value stay with lovely food and a relaxing atmosphere in the bar. Friendly helpful Turkish bar man/receptionist/waiter is a real asset to the place.

Rooms are small but nice. Only minus is that you can hear everything going on in the hallway, even people walking up and down.
Food and service were amazing. Family owned so attention to detail and customer service is excellent.

As the accomodation is just above the pub, you can hear a lot of noise when music is on. I think the bathroom needs some upgrades.
Perfect location just 10 mins drive from Killarney. Room was comfy and warm. Staff was very kind. Pub and restaurant served good food. Overall a good stay at a very good price!

The tv was precariously stood on top of the wardrobe, which was an awkwardly high angle to watch it from. But this was a very minor issue.
Staff were especially helpful and friendly. It was very quiet, and we had no trouble being seated for dinner (it was St Stephens Night) with a reduced but equally sufficient menu. The room was clean, relatively comfortable, and staff ensured the heating was working efficiently for us. I'd have no problem staying here again for a longer visit as the location is ideal (outside the town, but not too far) to feel peaceful and yet still allow exploration of the area. It is a good base for seeing Kerry.

Although bed was comfy and all facilities were available, the room I stayed in could do with being refurbished.
Friendly welcome. Food is good very good. Location suited me perfectly and of course pints are good.

A little disappointing that there was no breakfast available there. I believe there are plans to have a breakfast option for guests later in the year.
Having such a lovely bar and restaurant there was great. Could park up for the evening and relax. Lovely atmosphere in bar/restaurant. Special mention for Paul in the bar who was so friendly and helpful.

I stayed 2 nights during bad weather and the room was a little cold overnight.
I had a lovely big room, with a great bathroom and facilities. Tea and coffee facilities and a comfortable bed. Paddy and the other staff were friendly and helpful. I had food and Guinness in the pub which was lovely.

We got a call that our room was overbooked (It happens, I've worked in the industry before and understand that glitches happen to no fault of staff). The staff was very professional and kind as they provided me with alternative lodging.

Only one of rooms had extra blankets and rooms were little cold. Showers cold to luke warm.
Beautiful building with restaurant bar. Rooms was large and comfortable. Staff friendly and welcoming. Excellent food. Good location
