Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandI couldn't stay longer but I'll be back.
The staff. They were very friendly and helpful without any air of pretension for such a high class hotel. Also, the business suite was very well equipped and connectivity was excellent.

IrelandA bit far from the city centre, so we used a taxi to come to/from the hotel. One day when we came for breakfast we were informed that there is a buffet + à la carte menu for breakfast. So we assumed this would be our option on the next day too. In our view, breakfast is good, but a buffet itself is not spectacular for a hotel of this level (but it's nice together with the à la carte menu). However, when we came to the breakfast on the second day, turned out that the menu is available only sometimes, with no specific schedule/days. Would prefer if guests are informed about this "scheme" from the very beginning so people don't have wrong expectations. The bathroom has no hooks for a towel/robe, which was a bit uncomfortable.
Great staff and atmosphere. The hotel was very nicely decorated for Christmas! The nature around the hotel is amazing. We were pleasantly surprised with the mulled wine in the hotel as well. The room was clean and the bathroom also looked very new. Comfortable beds and pillows. The outdoor pool was a bit busy sometimes, but it was a great bonus overall!

IrelandThe only complaint was the television was very slow to connect to tv channels and also the chromecast wouldn't connect initially. However it worked once we tried it again a while later, maybe there was connection problems when we first tried. Other than that, we loved our stay!
The room was very large, with large bathroom with both a bath and a shower. TV was mounted to the wall opposite the bed. Extremely comfortable and air con made the room a very pleasant stay. Food was absolutely delicious, we had afternoon tea and dinner in the evening.

IrelandLocation is tricky if you want to be in the city, but easily managed with booking a taxi. Not much options for breakfast, we arrived around 930-10am and the dessert/fruits area wasn't refilled.
It was a very pleasant experience for both of us, the staffs were lovely, had all information ready for us and easy check in. They also have complimentary parking which made it convenient for us who have a car driving in. The room was spacious, comfortable and lovely view overlooking River Lee, a delight to watch the sunrise from the room.

IrelandAlthough when in a hotel you expect to pay dearer than the norm but the bar food and drink is way overpriced! €20 for a burger and €7.50 a pint is shocking. The hotels only downfall other than that its a fantastic hotel

United KingdomI completely agree with having no fridges in the room, as it is a massive waste of energy, but it would have been great to have access to an ice machine somewhere in the hotel. If you're intending to use the spa you really need to book a lot in advance: we tried to book a week before our stay, and there was no availability. The staff at the spa said they would let us know if there were any cancellations though, which was thoughtful. It would be great to be able to buy an hour pass for the thermal suite, as currently these facilities are only available if you've got a spa booking.
The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, and the rooms (particularly the bathrooms) were a generous size with comfortable beds, and very clean. The residents' bar also stays open relatively late. We were able to use the pool and health club facilities after we checked out too, which was great.

United StatesI enjoyed my stay I thought food was a little pricey but apart from that everything was great. From the day staff to the night time staff anyone I encountered were really helpful and nice especially as me and my wife had been caught in the midleton floods.when we got back to the hotel.after I booked an extra night and they helped me arrange the room so I didn't have to go to another room. That night we enjoyed the Crack with the staff who listened about the floods that happened and helped us see the funny side . While it was not a funny situation you sometimes just have to laugh at life.
