The shower door did not close properly, so the floor would be full of water by the end. You just have to be careful where you point the shower head.

The grounds were beautiful! Enjoyed drinks on the patio as the sun went down. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and so was breakfast. Enjoyed sitting in front of the fire as the night would done.

The castle was beautiful and the staff was very welcoming. The bartender, Andrew Ewing went out of his way to make me feel welcome! He's an exceptional man!

The tennis courts were covered in leaves (it was mid September so to be expected) and we spent 15 minutes cleaning them off to be safe to play. The castle restaurant was closed the Monday evening we were there but the golf course restaurant nearby was lovely.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were fast to respond prior to arrival when making reservations and gave exceptional service throughout our stay making our trip seem very special. The grounds are meticulously maintained making everything about the place beautiful. Would highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again.

Initial greeting upon arrival from a man at the front desk was very "cold." Gave us the initial impression that we were not worthy of being in the castle. Aside from this initial experience, the other staff was very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast selection was very good and made to order. You also had the flexibility to order off the menu or have them cook to your liking. Room for breakfast was very nice, with exposed wall of the original castle.

Had to drag our luggage over gravel to get to our room, but that will all be black topped in a week's time.

Of all the stays we had in Ireland, Kilkea was the best! Incredible grounds, wonderful staff, very comfortable rooms and bed, and the dinner and breakfast were superb! A beautiful golf course right on the premises made me wish I had my clubs! Just an outstanding stay!

Shower was a bit difficult to use in our room, but it's a very small issue. My mom did have an issue with turning it off while I was out walking, but the staff was fantastic and quickly came to help her. She was so impressed and happy that they resolved the issue.

Food was lovely especially the breakfast. Staff were very helpful and of course, we loved walking around the grounds.

The common areas can be a bit crowded when a wedding service is going on and also book a car to explore the country side, the location is beautiful but a bit remote, if you want to have a day off the grounds.

The falconery experience and activity was an absolute highlight. We felt so lucky to get to do it. The 1180 resturant was delicious and had fantastic service. The castles grounds are also beautiful to explore. The spa experience as well were tremendously relaxing. Highly recommend this location for any special occasion.

This hotel accommodation is the ideal setting for any romantic get away . It’s history and exceptional accommodation exceeded our expectations prior to my arrival the staff followed my instruction and requests without fail . The spa treatment was exceptional . Staff professionalism was every part of what makes kilkea castle as a whole . We were welcomed and the hospitality remained consistent for our whole stay . Reception team always on hand to tend to our needs. Breakfast was outstanding with a fantastic selection and an exceptional service team nothing was a problem at breakfast for this team . The restaurant teams were exceptional in delivery of service polite courteous at all time and the chef food presentation left no doubt in the words fine dining . Beautiful presentation of food . Walking around the grounds we observed the attention to detail the grounds team ensuring that the castle grounds were every bit as beautiful as the castle itself it was a pleasure to walk around the beautiful fauna and trees creating the relaxing ambience and setting . We had a wonderful stay at the Kilkea Castle. Relaxing and quiet with beautiful grounds to walk. The food was good (not amazing, but good). And the accommodations luxurious and staff very accommodating. Would highly recommend!

All was great except the fact that there was not air conditioning in the room and we had to drag luggage over the rocks to get to the carriage house units. All else was excellent including food.

WiFi at the cottages did not work at all. This was difficult as we also had no data service. Had to leave to room to make a call or check in with family.

The staff was fantastic, especially at The Keep. Grounds were gorgeous.
