Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThere was no food at the bar on a Friday evening at 8pm very disappointing. There was no residence bar. The roof top bar was closed.
Breakfast was delicious, there was so many choices and the food was great quality. I ordered smoked salmon Benedict and it was really tasty.

United KingdomRoof terrace was closed and it was a fantastic weekend of weather - a real shame
Arrived at the hotel, to be greeted at the front of the impressive building by a very polite gentleman, who then showed us to the reception area. More of the same polite, professional and welcoming conversation was had when checking in. It felt immediately like nothing was too much trouble and the details were all taken care of. We were then shown to the lift and advised as to the best route to our suite and wow what a suite !! The details were indeed taken care of !! I had pre-arranged the romance package for my partners birthday in advance and we walked into a fantastic room, huge bathroom, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the docks/theatre and exactly what was offered - strawberry’s in chocolate, cake, champaign etc Breakfast served until 11, which allowed us plenty of time in the pool, steam room and sauna prior and what a treat once you got there. The best breakfast you could ask for and the service continued to be attentive, polite, professional, which put you very much at ease. I called reception on a couple of occasions, and again, the same level of attentiveness and professionalism. One of the occasions was to try out the room service, and it was delivered politely, promptly, lovely food, good temperature. I could go on ….. the pool, the jacuzzi, the lobby bar area, the outside sun terrace area, the breakfast AGAIN, but I won’t. You’ll have to try it yourself I was very impressed, very pleased with the value for money and will definitely be going back !

NigeriaDelay in getting a table for breakfast, we waited for about 20mins. The space is way too small for a hotel of that size.
Room was very clean and the corner room view was also very good. Breakfast was also good. The bar was enjoyable with exotic wines.

IrelandN/A - Honestly, couldn't fault it.
Everything was brilliant - Great hotel, great staff! I was expecting it to be a great hotel, but it exceeded my expectations. We had a great time staying here and we were looked after so well! The SPA - Was brilliant also! I stayed for my partners birthday and a special mention to Astrid at reception who upgraded our room, organised a birthday dessert and a bottle of wine which was delivered to the room. Big thank you to Astrid! Was a great night stay! Loved it!

IrelandIt’s a pity that roof bar was closed, we would have liked to see it.
We thought it was lovely that our daughter got mini slippers, and her own mini cosmetics and we also got welcome cookies. Room was tastefully designed, clean and the bathroom was nice and big.

CanadaThe location has its ups and downs - it is in the city centre but slightly removed from areas like Templebar etc which doesn't bother me since I am from Dublin, but may be more of an issue for tourists (though a 15 minute walk or 5 minute ride in the LUAS street car across the bridge will get you there). This a a m advantage though and Dublin city centre can be very rowdy and has some antisocial issues at night, so having some distance isn't always the worst thing. It is also right by the water with a very nice square in front of it that has plenty of bars, cafes, etc within 100 metres, as well as being right next to Bord Gais Theatre for anyone planning to see a show there. So the location isn't bad by any means, just worth keeping in mind that it is a small bit removed from the dead centre of town.
The staff are incredibly professional but also personable which is a hard balance to strike. In our last two stays, my wife and I have dealt mainly with Elisabet and Ivo who are some of the best people you could hope to meet. The pool/spa area is the best you will find in Dublin city, and as good as any in Ireland, with a nice dim lighting that is great for relaxing in in the evening after a busy day, or in the morning to nurse a hangover! The rooms are spacious, well kept, and the soundproofing is also excellent, the bathroom are particularly nice with large baths and a lot of marble counters etc. The rooftop bar is not open all year due to Dublin having infamously bad weather, but if you are lucky enough to get to it on a sunny day it is probably the best view in the city.
