Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaThe coach buses would park on the street in the middle of the night with their engines on, which would be very noisy if you sleep with your window open. The windows keep the noise out well enough, so this shouldn't be problem normally, but for some reason our air conditioning system would turn off by itself after an hour or two. So we had the choice of either poor sleep due to noise, or poor sleep due to a lack of fresh air 😅 Maybe it was due to this poor sleep that we also felt that the breakfast was a bit meh. But Dublin is expensive, and for €12 you almost certainly can't get any better. We would recommend booking without breakfast and eating somewhere else instead.
Room was great. Location was great — very close to the Temple Bar area (just a 10 minute walk), but far enough where it's not noisy with partygoers. There's a metro station nearby and a train station across the bridge. Also, the airport coach stops a 3-minute walk away at George's Quay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There's also a free water machine on the ground floor, with both still and sparkling water.

United StatesThe toilet was difficult to flush and there was visible mildew in the shower. The room's cooling system kept shutting off with loud beeps in the middle of the night.
Starting at the front door, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The guest rooms are big, clean, and modern with comfortable beds and pillows. The lobby has multiple seating areas with power outlets, vending machines, and restrooms. The food and drink in the hotel bar and restaurant was unusually good. The location is a short walk from multiple train stations. It's positioned just enough outside the main food and shopping areas to give you a good, quiet night's rest but it still easily walkable to all the things you want to do and see in Dublin's city centre.

United KingdomOur room had a balcony door that was locked, making the room very warm despite the air con in the room. Would have been better if we had the opportunity to open a window for fresh air. We also didn’t know there was complimentary water for guests downstairs. It would have been good to know this as we found ourselves buying large 3 litre bottles of water during our trip to keep hydrated.
Location was good, room was lovely and beds were comfortable.

United KingdomThe room and bathroom are quite small but it was as expected based on previous reviews we had read. For what we wanted, it was good. Would stay there again.
Overall, we had a very good stay. The hotel is very modern and in a good location in Dublin. Friendly staff and our room was clean.

AustraliaThere wasn’t a kettle or fridge in the room for making a tea or coffee at your leisure. We needed to keep medication in a fridge in the lobby which was not secure at all.
It was a very nice hotel - our room was lovely and met our needs. Breakfast was great with a good selection of foods. Location is good and we walked everywhere. Trinity College is 5-10 minutes depending on how fast you walk. Some of the nearby streets are a little sketchy.

United KingdomThe room got extremely hot even with air con on, and they were very small but the size wasn’t that much of an issue as we didn’t spend much time in the room.
Not your standard Travelodge, you wouldn’t realise it was a travelodge chain by the decor. Very slick look. Location was great as it was just a little bit out from the hustle but within 7 minutes walk to it. I liked how we got an actual coffee machine in the room, and biscuits! It was all very modern.

United StatesThe room was really tiny with very minimal space to move around, especially once luggage is in there - but we were able to make it manageable. The shower was very shallow, so water built up quickly and the drain was unable to keep up with it through a whole shower.
Location was walkable for us to everything we wished to go see. Staff was friendly and helpful at check in, especially when we had to stop back down with a bill question. The staff corrected the issue immediately and was very friendly about it. Our room was clean.
